Hopeless, really.

Obviously things could be much worse, but gee this is dire.

We are clearly a long way off making any further progress towards meaningful reconciliation.
What we have triggered is those indigenous who have radical views to take a stronger stand.
These are the ones who don’t want reconciliation, but they want recognition that the land was stolen and that land to be returned.
There’s a particular senator that has this viewpoint and has been vocal in the No campaign to make sure she can further that cause.

Oh my.
So the nuffies have spent months believing and retelling outright LIES and you expect me not to look down on them?
They are the lowest common denominator and the reason that all reproduction should be subject to licensing.
I’m happy to call those who are No voters equals when they can actually understand what was proposed and not introduce the lies into the conversation.
But they can’t. Because every excuse they have to justify their position has been dismantled time and time again.
Nuffies one and all!

I don’t have any expectations of you. I was just trying to help.

Much like the same sex marriage postal survey, the campaigning period for this matter has brought to the surface a lot of longstanding pissweak attitudes and showed where the country is really 'at' on these matters.

At least that one was worthwhile as common sense prevailed, but in this one, really no one wins.

Campaigning from the ALP and Yes campaign truly miserable and bottled it, no excuses really. The prospects of Indigenous reconciliation could potentially take a much larger step backwards than forwards as a result of this ordeal.

To be fair, you are on the nuffie spectrum

For balance, im nuffie inclined

Ps... i voted yes

Nothing stopping Albo introducing all his recommendations tomorrow by bringing legislation to parliament if he’s serious that parliament needs to hear a voice, which after all is just another lobby group.. This proposal never needed constitutional change and people were right to be suspicious.

I bet it doesn’t happen… we will hear crickets.

How brave of you to bet on something he vowed not to do

No need to get personal. He made that comment purely because he wanted the yes vote to get through and didn’t want undecided voters to vote no just because he promised them a plan B. If he’s serious he will renege . You do realise politicians renege on promises?

He won’t though. He’s not sufficiently committed to the cause

Perhaps they voted no because you call they are nuffies. We will never advance while you look down on people who are different from you.
It's basically the same (not an identical) electorate that "got it right" when they voted Albanese in.

What are your reasons for voting no Frizzle?
If I told you I would be called a conspiracy theorist by most. But I don’t trust either Labour or the LNP to truly do the right thing by the indigenous or the average Australian. Our constitution is our protection. Don’t mess with it.
