Yeah that'd look pretty good in real life.

But do a jersey/shorts/socks thing like others have posted on the previous page. Where it's just all drawn up rather than photoshopping a real picture of a footy player.

Remember, clash guernseys will be worn away only, which means they MUST have white shorts. While it does look good with the blue shorts, if you wore white shorts it would look way too plain.

Remember, clash guernseys will be worn away only, which means they MUST have white shorts.

Sydney never wear white shorts. If the argument is that Sydney are an exception being an AFL project side, then it is equally arguable that the Gold Coast be allowed such a luxury.

i think the argument with sydney is that no one else wheres red home shorts and no other team has that much red in their home jumper.

this one includes the beach flag colours on the back with a wavy line separating the colours. i think its along the lines of what they're aiming for with being modern and representing the city of the gold coast.

These are my favorite designs so far. One of them I removed the yellow stripes from it, but it still needs something there, even if just a little of 'something'.

it'd be nice if the Gold Coast team had a nice bold symbol like how Freo have their anchor or how Port have lightning bolts(although they don't use them as much as the should) the closest example of that i can think of is the lifesaver flags. but we've already had jumpers that are red ontop and yellow on the bottom.

The use of things like lightning bolts, animal bodies, cats claws, etc, is very bad designing, a fairly new trend the last few years that has quickly started to fade out of fashion around the world, but still AFL and remnants of NRL still not caught on yet. That trend is like the '80s fashion sense.

Around the world, sports teams are going back to "throwback" looks now. With logos, jerseys etc. Australia, one day, will catch up.

Freo's anchor is the ONLY one that works, because it just works as a simple design, a kind of V shape. The Power's lightning sash they used in their early days in the 90's was perhaps ok.

With GC tho, what you've done is pretty good. But i also love that one that has half the guernsey in blue, then the other half split into two yellow/red horizontals. That really looks impressive as a basic traditional-looking design.

Your beach-theme one and that one I mentioned are probably the best two in the whole thread. And worthy of being sent to the AFL/GC17 for submission.

thank you. i've wanted to do something along those lines for a while but it can be hard with just photoshop (and some paint.net). the club's said they wanted something modern and exciting so they're not looking for just stripes or V's, also it cant look too much like adelaide or brisbane's fitzroy jumper which limits your options a fair bit.

btw, have you tried making a design yet?

I havent made one yet. Not sure if I want to after seeing the two i mentioned, those are PERFECT. Yours or that other one. And the one Hawks2008 made as well (probably the horizontal one) are the only really good ones.

I prefer yours and the other one with the half-horizontals, because they're unique and stand out the most. Hawks2008 one is possibly too "Brisbane Lions" looking in design.

thanks, i thought the lighter blue reminded me more of the beach than the darker blues

it's very bright, the red and yellow are already fairly bright colours but i tried it for you anyway

It looks heaps bright there, but I reckon live it'd suit well. Kinda fits in a bit with the Titans colours as well, looks more "Gold Coast" to me. Like H2008 said, it's more beachy.

i see what you're getting at, i might try with some other blues.
although i'd like blue to be the darkest colour and i'm doubting i could have it both ways.
