There is (or might) be a reluctance for people to write the full names of witnesses or people of interest in the case, because of suppression orders. But there’s no need to be too concerned about that.

Because the suppression orders only cover:
FM
FF
Anyone who’s in their family or related to them

Bio mum
Bio dad
Bio grandma
<<<I’m not sure but I don’t think the order covers any other adults in the bio family >>>

I think if she was in the know maybe she didn't know all the details, and probably wouldn't want to believe her family would do anything bad. She might have been sold a lie initially then realised she was an accessory after the fact. Or she could be entirely oblivious. She was told to shut up on the basis of protecting the identity of William's sister - told “it's the law“ and may have simply accepted she wasn't allowed to talk about it to anyone.
Whatever she might have told anyone is also probably subject to a NPO so she might have said stuff we don't know about.

I have always thought it really weird the way she answered teary Usher in the 60 Minutes 2015 interview. He asked her something similar to ...surely your mother doesnt blame herself for what happened at her house and FM answered something like ... no no she couldnt blame herself. No sympathy or empathy for her mother ... not a grain. Instead of saying something caring and kind like ... I have spent time with mum and we have talked and I try to assurre her that what ever happened was out of our control.

He would have to have climbed on to something, like a chair, to get over or maybe with enough speed he could jump the rail.

They are not under NPO or suppression but I would personally be hesitant to refer to Spedding as he’s recently won circa $2Mil for Malicious Prosecution in this case and that’s a big deal.

So I would be very careful about that. I might call him the washing repair man and also would not be using the P word at all in conjunction with him.

I think the point is this: "He [Peter] was specifically asked if he had video of the incident. He said no. However, in his written statement, he said he did."

Which incident? Is this just about the other vehicles - Camry, BMW, ute - or something else? I find it hard to imagine mouths dropping in the court room if all that's being discussed is whether there is dashcam vision of apparently irrelevant vehicles.

Do you know if this has been mentioned in any media coverage please?

I thought I read that he had stated at inquest or perhaps an interview tape was played where the truckdriver Peter said his dashcam was not working on 12th.

Ok, you’re right - it is an acronym.

It stands for: Non publication order.

It’s colloquially known as a NPO in wide circles. As opposed to Benaroon drive which is abbreviated and understood only by those who follow the case, the acronym “NPO” would be understood by journalists and lawyers, in other situations and with other cases that are not specific to this case or context.

It’s also not a person’s name.

(I am hoping for the best with this explanation- fingers crossed )

Depends where he landed and how he travelled. I guess it's theoretically possible to fly to a private landing strip, or for a boat to cross international waters and make landfall in a secluded spot. But the whole suggestion is pretty wild IMO.

I've seen a photo of furniture but I didn’t know when that photo was taken so I didn't know if they just moved the furniture after William was missing
