He will not be going to Richmond it's BS. If he leaves GWS he knows he would have an amazing opportunity to become a marque player for the Pies, biggest club, best facilities biggest crowds, Anzac day the list goes on and on and play on the biggest stage most weeks with a shot at a flag within next few years.Where else but Collingwood? It's a no Brainer! just a little biased I know.

Would you prefer Aish + Motlop or just Treloar? I can see positives for both, I think we lack a Motlop type player more than another pure mid, and Aish could still become an A grade mid over time. Treloar would give us an immediate A grader but I don't think we'd be able to get anyone else once we'd traded for him.
Even if Treloar wants to come here, I would prefer the 2 good players over the 1 for sure.

1st round pick for Motlop
2nd round pick + Oxley for Aish

Not of those things have been a factor! We haven't signed anyone big time player

I listened to Daicos talk at a function Friday he said the player managers won't tell you this

5 years at Collingwood will create so many more opportunities outside off football then 10 years at another club

It has to be the right five years though. Sorry, Daisy.

Tom Browne is the same reporter who reported that Ryder was off to Brisbane and back in May declared that Rory Sloane was going to the Hawks and Rance was off to Brisbane because of his close relationship with Leppa. So thus far he is none from three. Hope his luck continues

Forget the Dixon name - my point is that a quality KPF adds more value to our team than 'another' quality midfielder. When you look at the last few weeks what has all the bitching been about on here? It hasn't been about our midfielders it's been all about our KPP either forward or back. 90% of discussion this year has been about the Whites, Frosts, Reid's, Witts and Clokes of the team but all of a sudden when someone dangles a shiny new midfielder in front of our face we forget about these problems.

I'd rather add a KPF who can kick 60+ goals a year
than a shiny new mid who can kick it on to the chest of a White or Cloke 60 times a year for them to drop it or kick a return of 15 goals a season.

Sometimes you need a clunky old diesel to go places where that shiny new BMW won't go and who cares how you look in it!

Not many of those around, even less again who are out of contract and attainable.

Who do you suggest we trade for?

You talk sense and I don't like it.
In saying that I still want Treloar. Aish and Motlop don't inspire a sense of commitment. Taylor Adams may have over committed on Westoff but Moore of that I say. Ultimately pass on Motlop's flashy but fadey type.

No doubting he's a gun. And if the gossip about him definitely coming to us is true, but we've already publically stated that Witts is staying does this mean we've somehow already satisfied the Giants with what we are offering?

Reid so he can live near his brother maybe

So it's fair to say I can lock all the Jesse White threads LOL.

I think you're right if they're on song. But I worry we've seen Clokes best days. I mean, unless you have a power forward like Cloke that can kick goals up at the front end of the Coleman Medal leaderboard, or have a crumbing forward that can kick 50+ goals a season like a Eddie Betts/Chad Wingard type aren't we just treading water? Yes we've got the potential but we are not getting the results.

How far do you carry potential before you realise that this needs to be converted into talent and ultimately goals.

I suspect once our midfield delivery improves and ball movement improves the results will come.

I wouldn't mind Motlop, depending on the trade+cost. I really feel like we are lacking that x factor in the forward line that we had in '11 with the Krak.
That potential that any time the ball goes to ground there could be a goal.
