Anyway, I refuse to let another man tell me what I can and can't do. I'll continue to explore the realms of DMT and feel sorry for the people too scared to try it.

I don't think anybody is doing that, I'm certainly not. You can do whatever you want, but I think there is a fine line with you making the decision to partake in drugs, and yes even this drug does have risks involved, and urging everyone to do it, when there are people on here who are quite impressionable.

There's much much MUCH worse things going on bf than this thread.

Fare evade.

Lol, not sure if coincidence, but yes I did, not necessarily urge, detail my tactics to fare evade.

In the end, it was too hard and now I'm a compliant member of society that pays for his Myki.

Don't be apologetic my man. Loving the real world :thumbsu:

Real? Perception is reality. Your reality is made up of 5 basic senses. What if there is a lot more going on than you currently have the senses to detect? Eg. Electromagnetic waves (like Radio waves) are completely undetectable by a human without aid from technology. 200 years ago we didn't know about them- it doens't mean they weren't there. Bats and Dolphins can use sonar- very real senses to them that are invisible to us.

That's my theory on DMT, anyway. It gives us the ability to perceive what we normally can't.

That is exactly how i see it and i don't think it's dangerous on the basis that it is NOT mind altering like other drugs like alcohol, ketamine, mdma, coccaine etc. Nothing changes except your ability to see things you normally can't. You're still present.

So in essence wouldnt that be mind altering?

I think it's also a bit strange to say hallucinogens can't trigger psychosis or other peripheral problems.

I had a friend who tripped on acid and tried to kill himself. People's brain aren't all constructed the same and as such, everybody has a different experience on certain drugs.

It's the same with alcohol, marijuana etc etc.

"Nothing changes except your ability to see things you normally cant"

In other words you require this substance to stimluate your mind to perceive things it naturally would not. How is that not mind altering? By all means do it if you need it to make you happy however realise what it actually is.

You don't understand DMT at all.

This is a very conservative forum.

Well I have never taken DMT, however from the posters who have on this forum state it alters your perception meaning it is altering you brain or thought patterns. You can get as defensive as much as you like but so far neither yourself or Nicky have been able to explain how it is not a mind altering drug.

I am interested in your explanation, especially as you are such a close minded person to start throwing out the "conservative" line when one simply asks a question.

It's not mind altering in the way that alcohol etc are - you take them and they change your, you become a bit out of your mind. Whereas DMT you're still 100% present (not at all out of your mind - can still take in conversations if you want to but it's better to go somewhere quiet and tune out) you just have an ability to see dimensions not normally available to you.

As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, if sight was not one of our senses, imagine having the ability to expeirence it for the first time and then trying to explain it? DMT is like that times 1000.

Srs?

I had one and tripped hard for hours.

Couldn't get to sleep until 11 the next morning.

A few months ago I dropped two tabs at once and it hit me so hard that during the immediate comedown I vowed that was enough for this lifetime (I've since softened on that but I'm still in no hurry to go back there again).

I'm scared to think what 5 or 6 of them would have done to me.

Disregarding malfunction you are born with sight as the other senses. You are still requiring an external substance to see these dimensions that you actually cannot qualify (well your brain cant), as you cannot naturally process it you have no idea if its is real or a reaction to the said substance you are taking.

By all means I am not judging you for it, as said if it makes you happy knock yourself out, people do it every day with alcohol, weed etc etc, in fact I work with many that cannot simply function without booze and heroin, they are 100% present furthermore they are 100% in control with their self medication.

How would you define mind altering?
It is perception altering. Loosens the filters on incoming stimuli.
It alters thought patterns when under effect insofar as one has to process/react to different data.

I actually am not after your approval here so you can stop reassuring me that you're not "judging me". But, thanks anyway i guess.

Taking substances like heroin and alcohol cannot be compared to DMT, the former alter your mind and the latter doesn't. I've got experience here and you don't. Simple as that.

Not really and no I wasnt judging, just interested. However as you are now preferring to get stupidly defensive rather than provide an explanation or engage in discussion I conclude that the "Ive done it you havent" Nicky persona is what is actually "simple" here. That aint a judgement on your DMT activity rather a judgement on your inability to engage in discussion.....nor being able to answer a fairly simply question.

For anyone interested in stuff like this I highly recommend reading 'A Heart Blown Open'.

It's the true story of Denis Kelly, who went from being the biggest LSD dealer in the world (and one-time head of the FBI's most wanted list) to a Buddhist monk.

He was at the forefront of the counterculture movement of the 60's, and his aim was to create the purest LSD possible because he believed it was the tool destined to take mankind to the next level of emotional evolution.

Irregular user and haven't had/seen any since mid 90's when 1 was more than enough.
Came across them and bought ten (as a longterm supply to mitigate difficulty in acquiring them) but we finished them all in one night.
