Membership costs have gone up massively. That's a huge increase in revenue that we have funded. The jumper change is nothing special, the old away strip/ purple haze strip was just as good. They totally fkd up the song change process. They are taking the club away from it's home to a place that can best be described as a backwater. I honestly don't get the fap that some people have for these Claremont boys.

People like to benchmark against our old admin, but we should be comparing ourselves against the best in the league, which we are far from. Unless we somehow win the flag this year, I think it's time to move them on and get some new blood running the club.

We are in the top echelon of clubs.We are amongst the best in the league. We are one of a handful turning over a profit,sold out seated membership. The song was voted on by the members. Far from a Steves stuff up. Cockburn is far from a backwater and will be a fully funded state of the art training facility that the players can't wait to get to.. You must be very young and were not around for the mess we were in for the early years.

Unfortunately, yes.

Let's be honest, the Steve's have done one good thing and that is getting Ross Lyon. Apart from that, they are doing a serviceable job, but nothing more.

Any increased profit the club is making is most likely due to the excessive increase in membership fees each year. Compare the CPI to how much our memberships go up each year.

Quite dishonest to say the Steves got Lyon. Lyon got Fremantle, the Steves just happened to be in charge. Crediting the Steves with our on-field success is also dishonest, that's down to a better playing list. As for memberships, well I already pointed out that we're about 10K below where we should be, but let's just ignore that. I can keep this up for as long as you like.
We've never had one, that's the point. The constitution has never been fulfilled.

Nah Lyon was approached by the club to see if he would be available when his contract ran out. Put that down to Rosich. That he had an out clause was a bonus. Good management produces good results hence the powerful on field results. .How you work out we are 10000 down in possible membership is hard to follow. Just a figure you have floating around in your head? My head tells me if we hadn't had the success of the last 4 years we would be 20000 down. Grab a coffee in the club coffee shop while watching training at Cockburn and when its finished pop in for a swim in the heated pool after wards and have a chat with the players who will also be using it . They tell me the water slide will be a beauty.

They should have stayed at Freo, but they were seduced but the $$ and it's a real blow to Fremantle who this club is actually supposed to represent. I understand you are a fanboi and we all appreciate your training reports. But these guys have done an ok job, but are not above criticism. They are a boys clubs though and I'd like to see one of them moved on to freshen the thinking up. I don't think that is unreasonable.

I'm far from a fanboi, I was scathing of the club early on .It was a shambles ,a disgrace . But credit were its due ,the present management has turned that around and if you haven't enjoyed being a member the last 4 years you are impossible to please. Fremantle oval is tied up in heritage listed red tape and it was impossible to do what the club wanted to do. That backwater is home to the fastest growing population in the state and the fan base in that southern corridor will be huge. Those who want the club to stay a sausage sizzle and cake stand funded club should spend their membership dollars and help out one of the struggling WAFL clubs.

So I take it their "good management" during the Harvey years was an aberration?

I'll do up the chart that shows where our membership should be for you one day. Perhaps I'll bring it to Cockburn and show you in the public, not club, coffee shop and if you think the players will be using the facilities at the same time as the public you've gone a little soft in the head.

I note you chose to ignore my point about the Harvey years, so your credit where it's due idea seems to be selective. The last 4 years success is due to having a better list, as I said, so I'll give the credit to our players and the coach.

The social club would be at the club of course. We're stuck with Cockburn, so it would be there. Somewhere I could drop in for a drink during and after the game without being ripped off like the unwashed masses who don't pay a membership.

Freo council was tardy,a little conceited and foolish on all three.
