Would be harder than Dr Who but should they reboot Blake's 7?

I think Blakes 7 is better suited to now than then. It’s gritty and the characters are flawed in way you didn’t really see in the late 70s. Add to that, the effects work be so much easier to realise on small bight these days, I think it would be perfect for a streaming service in 2024.

Only issue is, could anyone realise Avon better than Paul Darrow?

Good points, was kind of ahead of its time. Also already had the modern longer single episode story format.

I've always thought B7 was eminently rebootable. As long as it got the right showrunner and writers it could very easily be updated to work for a modern audience.

That said, I think the moment has most likely passed. It should've been done 15 years ago when Who was still riding high, the BSG reboot was still relatively fresh in the mind, and Paul Darrow was still alive and able to contribute in some capacity, Now it could only be done by a streamer and I don't know if it would have enough appeal to be taken on.

I always thought 'The Tomorrow People' was very rebootable.

But then I saw (just a bit) of the 90s show.

Guess it depends on WHO reboots it... "RTD - YOU LISTENING????"

Paul Darrow. The one and only. I don’t think it could be done.

Man I loved Avon growing up.

Would love to see Blakes 7 redone.

TBH I hate the ending. None of that last scene makes any sense to me from a character or plot perspective, and the absence of Servalan is unforgivable. But it doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the episode too much, or the rest of the show.

Doctor Who hasn’t been Britbox since the Disney deal, despite nothing pre 2023 being available on Disney.

Right now classic Who does not stream in Australia.

Download some torrents - or buy DVDs - and keep them for life instead of some temporary streaming deal.

Unfortunately no. Although it was the big selling point at that start, not a minute remains. I have everything on DVD / Blu-ray, but it was nice to just pull something up a random without leaving the chair.

I am not familiar with Pluto.

I have all Tom's ones off torrents I got a few years ago but couldn't get a hold of Peter's unfortunately.

I HATE using discs so it's either hdd or streaming for me.

It's a free streaming service I think, thought it used to have Dr Who too.

I have it all downloaded from years ago, but buying all the animated episodes so that one day I can watch end to end properly.

I was browsing my TCL and it shows different genres available on different streaming and both new and classic Who came up as being available - classic on Disney+ and new on STAN

I even looked at some of the episodes available on D+ and thought hmm I'll chase them up. Saw the post early this AM and went looking again - yes tv says Disney+ - click on link and its a dead link.

Don't think Classic Who was ever on D+. "NewWho" as in Eccleston - Whittaker I think is on Stan, but then Gatwa is only D+.
