Theres no use trying to use facts and stats when discussing Melbourne. I for one dont like comparing our clubs (8 years since theyve beaten us, 20 goal loss in 2013, Jack Watts etc) so to cheer you Melbourne folk up I have come up with a rap sheet of just how BAD you have been and how surely the worse is behind you :)
After all you have suffered enough and it surely couldnt get any worse- could it?

You have too much time on your hands.

Now there's a list of powerhouses of the last few years if ever I saw it.

royals, mate, if this is your effort to convince me of his merit as a player, you need to try alot harder.

simply answered he would get a game at melbourne every week.and would have for the last 6 years....

tazaa - That's the second time I've seen that list from a Norfy. Is it in some sort of Norf library? What am I saying. Norf can't afford a library.

I love that someone is that obsessed over Melbourne they went to that amount of effort though lol

There's alot of fail in that list, but if you're going to include "Colin Sylvia get suspended" and "Clint Bartram is forced into retirement due to a degenerative knee injury" on the list (how is the second one even a failure?), most clubs wrap sheet covering that amount of time will look pretty poor. Collingwood's would be a doozy. Dane Swan alone would take up a full page.

obsessed look at your buddy booshy you flog...now thats an obsession....

Sounds like a spud that's been schooled in the 'Drew Petrie Flat Track Bully' system of footy. Firrito has a career similar to Dunns. Except for 2014 when Dunn arrived on the big stage and left the Spud in his wake.

classic comparing a number 15 draft pick to a rookie selection, oh the master booshy with more of his wisdom for us........

Why are you worried? Melbourne are a changed team under Roos and you have Dawes, Jones, Salem etc playing for you......

Royals the Dees are full of such imence talent they are clearly favourites this Sunday, come on booshy and hi buddies have been telling us this stuff for years now........

so your predicting a Melbounre win, very good booshy, chances are after losing the last 10 plus matches against us you actually might win one, heroic predicting....
In the sense that if you put 100 monkeys in a room with a typewriter, statistically it's possible that one of them could produce 'War And Peace'?

Lol. Firrito? THe guy with the apt nickname "spud"?

Let me list Melbournes Medium and Tall defenders and you tell me which he'd get a run in front of.

Dunn
Garland
Frawley
McDonald

Firrito is behind every one of those players. I'd take Pedo before Firrito this year. Easily.

Now, this doesn't mean we are better than Norf. I never said that you obviously have the better team atm. I'm just comparing one player. Just because you have an overall better team at present doesn't mean every single one of you players is better than ours. Also, I'm not attacking you or your club I'm just trying to discuss footy on a footy forum. Let's see if you can be in that % of Norfy posts that doesn't just deflect but responds my post thoughtfully. If that's too hard for you perhaps you should stick to the Norf board where you can pat each other on the back and share the delusions.

Nah, I find this game very hard to predict but I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled it off. I'm not worried because if we lose to Norf it's not the end of the world. We are in a far different point in our development than Norf and have a new coach.

Norf fans on the other hand are worried and they should be. This is a danger game for Norf and if you lose to the Dees at this stage of your development with a coach that's had 5(?) years you may have to start planning a rebuild (and new coach) cause there is no way that team would take you to the big one.

well not to mention the All-Australians Pederson and Dunn.
Dunn is a possibility. Pedo hasn't been spectacular, but he's doing what is being asked of him. To add to that, Pedo was the one who started the play that resulted in the Salem goal. So would be fair to say he was a matchwinner against the Dons.

And Dom Tyson is very good as well.......
He has the potential to be an elite player in the coming years, now that we aren't in the business of ****ing up player development anymore.

So tell us in 25 words or less why Melbourne will win....
We have a pressure based gameplan, and Norf struggle with pressure. Also it'll be pissing down all weekend and there's no roof at the MCG.

The Queen's Birthday is our Grand Final, everyone knows that!

Apparently we've played our grand final against Carlton, Adelaide, Richmond, and Essendon now. Look how many Grand Finals we're playing in, suck on that one Doggies.

Would disagree. Pedo has been the turnaround player of the season. Compared to where he was last year, which was nowhere, I'd say that "spectacular" is a perfect word to describe him this year. Chalk one up for Neeld. We smashed that trade.

It's a really poor excuse to claim the other side is playing their grandfinal against you. And Norf fans have already begun rolling out the excuses.

It's Melbournes grandfinal...
Statistically they have to win one soon...
There's no roof at the MCG...
Roos plays an ugly brand of footy I will not support and would rather lose than resort to that game plan...
All our best players were out of form and Melbourne played out of their skin...

What else have you got Norfites?

Pedo, Hogan, Clark, Dawes, Kent, Viney... Perhaps Neeld for recruitment manager? Just don't let him anywhere near the players afterward.
