Good to get two goals, tried hard, but his disposal generally was appalling. Cannot stay in the side after that performance but you never know, Bevo probably still gives him another game. But his turnovers were costly
Not sure of the stats but it felt like he turned over 20/22 possessions.

I feel like it's nerves more than anything. He has the body of an afl player but just needs to relax with ball in hand.

Wow, essendon are bad

take the win though, too many ordinary players, that easy kick over the top from McComb to Treloar, if i was coach i would just show him that when i dropped him and say "afl footballers do not miss that kick"

Richards was sublime!

Well it was a win. Not sure if they are better or worse than North.

Other than the 2 goals the best I could say about McComb is he is a good VFL player.

One of Naughton's worst games, fumbled consistently when trying to mark.

This team is not making finals, hopefully we start getting a few back soon

Good to get a win especially beating the Bumbers and putting more misery into their season

Richards quietly carving out an awesome season

Libbba still a gun

B.Dale signature is so important imo probably one of if not the most important.

I love seeing number 31 out there now hopefully I get to see another favourite number of mine 24 also get a gig.

Enjoy your night all and Chicago1 enjoy the rest of that luck meal

Really hope Bevo can sort out Bailey Williams' issues which seem to be confidence related. He's regressed back to doing certain things he did in his first year or two which didn't work. Hasn't been the same since the first quarter of the Grand Final.
its amazing how bad he looks when under heat, just panics everytime, regressed 2 or 3 years as you say

Macrae not himself at the moment either, Naughton's had a poor few weeks, Bont good but down on production, carrying 5 or 6 ordinary players, we desperately need some reinforcements back

Richards best game for the club imo. His run through the guts numerous times is exactly what our side has lacked for the past decade.

I hope Wallis can continue to offer us 1-2 goals a game.

Once again our defence was our best line. Keath cannot come in soon enough to release TOB.

Bailey Williams is playing as if he is going to be traded back to SA this off season.
I’m really disappointed with Williams. I honestly thought he could have gone on to be a regular AA player. I’m not throwing the towel in just yet but it’s hard to even justify his selection at the moment. He wasn’t terrible today to be honest - but I can’t remember the last time he played well.

Given McComb’s disposal issues him opting to kick the ball back to the Bombers player after a free on the wing was either stupid, arrogance did to the margin or seen as an opportunity for sorely needed practice

Essendon had an improved effort against Collingwood and we were awful against the Crows, so I was worried about today.

Relieved to have come away with a solid win, even though it should’ve been by more.

Ed Richards has been really impressive this year, and was just about BOG today. Very happy, especially as poor old Bailey Williams looks a shadow of his former self. :(

Dunkley, Liberatore and Macrae all were excellent today.

As for Essendon, they have seriously problems. I quite like Heppell from them, but it’d almost be “tap on the shoulder“ time for him.

I don’t mean to be a downer but despite the win I’m a long way from convinced about us this year.

Rounds 6-11 are all against sides that are struggling, so far we’ve only won one of them.

All we can do at the moment is bank the wins and if we can get some key players back after this patch of games (Keath, JJ, hopefully Bruce later on) we might be a chance to make an assault in the later part of the year.

At the moment though, we’re not the side we were last year, we just have to hope we keep building towards it.
