I finally found out where the term Shinboner spirit comes from. It's because the players aren't afraid to kick their opponents in the shins, scratch their eyes , punch them off the ball etc.

Only watched 2nd half due to family commitments ( well my birthday dinner). Offensively quite good but inaccurate. Should have kicked to Redpath far more, he had one on ones and was beating his opponents for strength. Dickson absent. Should have played Dale forward instead of in no mans land centre wing. Happy return to form for Picken.

Defensively awful, thank Jebus for Morris. If North's forwards are slow, Roughead may have been running in 15cm of treacle. Would much prefer Roberts back there . My bête noire Suckling was the usual curates egg, good in parts. Some terrible turnovers.

Campbell looks better than Boyd simply because he is more mature, stands his ground and isn't pushed off the ball as much. Don't let this fool you. When Boyd develops his strength he will be ten times the player TC is.

Ugly win

Poor last quarter

Looked more attacking tonight and forward line and midfield functioned a lot better.

Sometimes you just need to win ugly to kick start something, 7-6 at least we are above being square on the ledger.

Next two weeks will tell us a lot. Comp is extremely even this year.

Liked honeychurchs first half, dale and McLean had good games. Campbell showed a lot. Bont sensational.

Suckling, dicko, libba and jj very poor imo not sure what to do about them

Yet again when the going got tough our inside mids were nowhere to be seen and all but allowed Ben Cunnington to win the game off his own boot in the last 15 minutes. Some of the decision making by our mids in that period (hello... Jack Macrae!) just boggles the mind, they had clearly shut up shop and thought it was all over bar the singing of the team song.

Right now we are a middling side at best and should consider ourselves very fortunate to not have been run over by an ordinary side at best.

Norf fans having a whine when they were only as close as they were due to our poor kicking is absolutely amazing.

Also don't want to hear about the umpiring - Stringer gets a 50m penalty for getting whacked in the head about 5000 seconds after he marked it (as he should), he doesn't miss that shot and North don't get close.

Also who knew midfielder Bontempelli playing entirely in the midfield and not half the match as a resting forward could actually work!

Little bit disappointed in Libba after a solid return last week - only the 13 touches and was responsible for Cunnington dominating that last quarter.

That wasn't 50 to Stringer, was an accident and no 50

I think its fair to say we're just a middling side this year unless there is some sort of switch flipped in the playing group, or in the coaches box.

After 13 games its been a fairly reasonable sample at this point. We have 2 or 3 characteristics of a wooden spoon team, never mind a middling one.

You're too kind. He so slow and off the pace that he looks like he's running in a bowl of my mothers claggy porridge.

Melts on the main board are awesome.

Just a word of warning to all, if any of you do decide to have a crack - suffer the consequences.

Watched live.

Loved:
Zaine
Campbell
Bont
Stringer
Honeychurch
Picken
Hunter

Worried for:
Dickson
Morris

JJ needs to get used to the tag. He's still struggling with it.

Campbell was great #thingsyouneverthoughtyoudsay
Honeychurch was great with what he did except for kicking for goal

Bont was great. Still reckon he's carrying something but he looked better.

North didn't put much pressure on except the end. We're still just going and I pray to god that it clicks soon because if we play like that against anyone except for lolnorf we'll get slaughtered.

Good to get the 4 points, but so much to improve still.

Stringer's most influential game for ages. Not much on the scoreboard but he was much better around the ball. Still has brainfades from time to time though.

Go dogs
