I feel sorry for Eagles fans, I just can't imagine watching them weekly this season. It's giving me flashbacks of 2014.

The Eagles play finals virtually every season and are usually contending for the premiership when they do.

I don’t have a problem with West Coast but I’m pretty sure their fans will cope.

I don’t , I remember us going over there every season in the early 2000s and getting smashed . It’s great to put the boot in . duck them
Absolutely agree with this. Screw them. The humiliation on their home deck was a thing of beauty.

Very good

The West Coast board is pretty depressing reading. Would hate to be supporting them at the moment. Their game with the kangaroos is going to be either one of the most contested games of the year or a tankfest.
Do they play again? Norf won the first one

Timmy was silly good tonight wasn’t he bloody hell, not sure what we do about our 2nd ruck going forward - tonight didn’t help sort that issue, probably just made it more complicated 😅
Sweet didn't really stand out or play that well tonight outside of ruck contests so I don't know if they'll persist with the dual ruck going forward. They might drop sweet for Smith and play Khamis in the ruck.

English is our only player who can manage the second ruck/tall forward position but at the same time he's our best ruck by so much that it would be stupid to play him that way. Have we reached the Zaine Cordy part of that cycle again yet or do we go through Dunkley first?

It was like English got his little brother (Sweet) to fill in for his footy team because they were a few short.

There was a universe sized difference in their impacts on our game.

English is becoming a beast and we’ll soon start seeing those types of games against all opposition ruckman.

If we can bring in a more mobile ruck than Sweet that can impact inside 50 as well as hold his own at stoppages, we’ll have a scary Midfield/Ruck group.

An exciting prospect.

It’s hard to read too much into this because West Coast are horrendous but I think there are a lot of good signs.

Looks like we’re getting close to a team that makes sense.

Williams looks like a different player on the wing and is the best suited player on our list to play that role. McNeil, West and Weightman have the potential to be a strong pressure forward unit and all have additional layers to their game.

Sweet offers very little around the ground but it was nice to have a second ruckman, I hope they experiment with it a little more. I think he might be off more use against stronger rucks, English was dominating the taps and around the ground so there was little need to give Sweet an extended run in the middle. In a game like against Carlton where Pittonet was killing English in the taps, being able to shift to Sweet might be more useful. We’ll see if he gets more opportunity. Think the defense is close to our ideal set up, only question would be whether we want to add Crozier as an additional interceptor but I quite like the back 7 as it is
