Annoying for Sheed but expected.

The Victorian media have ignored us all year, the footy show and footy classified or should i say VFL classified, only ever talk about Essendon and the Demons. I have heard that much horseshit about Watts and the Demons this year that they have almost convinced me they are actually relevant.

If you ask me i'm rapt they ignore us, It wasn't until we beat Richmond they took notice.

I get all the info i need on here, i don't need to be fluffed up by irrelevant journalists who only cover the bare minimum (victoria) and best of all it leaves most with no clue to how well we are actually traveling until they have to play us.

It might mean a little less recognition for some of our players but it's a small price to pay to fly under the radar.

I knew this and honestly i don't care as RS nominations aren't indicative of future success, many spuds have won nominations. Sheed and Duggan have been on their day as good if not better than many of the other eligible players. Only Cripps has and Hogan have been stand outs. Sheed gets lost because he's so good on the inside and in an understated way, while Duggan has lacked consistency over four quarters.

How the rising star selection process works.

Who was the best eligible player for the round?
Was that player from West Coast?

Yes/No.

No. Award it to them.
Yes. Award it to the next best.

You look back at our last nominations in 2011 and our players had to play blinders to get nominated. Shuey got a Brownlow vote in round 1 but the nomination was given to Heppell for a 20 disposal game off half back. He got the next nomination with a 27 disposal 3 goal effort. Gaff had 31 disposals and 2 goals for his nomination in round 19. Darling got nominated with 14 disposals 9 marks and 3 goals.

I just watched talking footy and I feel better about sheed not getting nominated this week.

I mean we didn't actually play on the weekend it seems

I don't want Coleman medals, I don't want rising star nominations ....WHO CAES IF THEY DONT MENTION US ON VIC FOOTY ...SORRY FOX FOOTY

IT means nothing

We want a flag ....? That's the only reward in footy worth winning ...the rest is filling news paper columns

Out of all the footy shows Talking Footy is the worst one to watch if you want to keep up to date with West Coast. Most of the Channel 9 ones are actually pretty good because Craig Hutchison makes a point of mentioning the WA teams. Probably because he actually has to watch us play as he hosts WA Footy on Sunday.
I'm also expecting that the West Coast v Adelaide game will be the main Saturday Night fixture this week due to recent events. That would mean all you people at home will have to put up with Darcy and BT actually watching a West Coast game.

Thank goodness I will be at the game!

I actually think its a chance that the AFL dont realise Sheed is eligible.

Same thing happened when Waters had played 10 games in 2004 and was still eligible in 2006. Took them until round 18 to realise despite him playing really well all year.

To be fair, choosing to watch Talking Footy is a much worse decision than any decision the people who give out the noms have ever made.

With those stats, more like Jack Lownie.

Sheed robbed again, but...can't deny that Lonie deserves one this year, and does a ton of work that doesn't show up on the stats sheet. Helps when his left foot pass to Membrey and his goal were 2 of the best plays of the round.

Sheed will need an exceptional game this week to get one; don't see them giving a vote to someone who beats up on a heartbroken Crows unit. Also, because he'll still be playing for a West Aus team.

And I've double downed with footy classified

It's almost official, our game on the weekend didn't exist
