Retired ethnic Korean couple involved.

Dumped in the bush, not found for two years.

Unfortunately, she couldn't be saved. The offender fled, crashed his car then targeted another woman for victimisation.

Officers were called for a welfare check at around 4:15pm, where they found a woman with life threatening stab wounds.

The woman, who was in her 50s, died at the scene.

They allege a man fled in a car before police arrived and crashed that car into a truck on the Bruce Highway at Sandy Pocket a short time later.

They said he then fled on foot, attempting to steal another car from a woman nearby.

Regards the above incident. It took a radio operator nearly an hour to acknowledge the call, with officers arriving at the home two minutes later.

Police launched a critical incident investigation, after it emerged it took almost an hour for officers to attend the home after receiving the emergency call.

Staggering figures, most of these we must not even be hearing about.

On average, a family loses a child or children to filicide almost every fortnight in Australia.

New research into filicides in Australia has found that intimate partner violence and family violence are significant risk factors for such killings.

Allegedly tried to hinder emergency services from rescuing his family. The bind boggles. What was he thinking? Inexcusable no matter the circumstances. Another horrific (and presumably preventable tragedy).

No words.

The horrific fire claimed the lives of a 10-month-old baby and two boys, aged two and five.

A nine-year-old girl and three boys, aged six, seven and 11, were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
But NSW Ambulance paramedics were unable to save two more boys, aged two and five, who died after being raced to hospital. Firefighters extinguished the burning home before the body of a third child, a 10-month-old girl, was found at the scene.

Although the abc article on this reported
'the man was not the subject of an AVO and was not before the court for any matter.'
the below article reports that Police were seen at the home last week.

'A father is accused of dragging children into a burning house and stopping first responders as the blaze killed a baby girl, two kids and left four others in hospital.
...
Father Dean Heasman, 28, was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital under police guard.

The 28-year-old suffered from serious burns and smoke inhalation and was placed in an induced coma in the Intensive Care Unit.
...
Mr Pietruszka said the man was not adversely known to police and was known to the court for any current matters.

Neighbours told Daily Mail Australia officers were seen at the the home last week, however police would not confirm.

It is understood the home was a housing commission property, where the woman and man lived along with the seven children.

There is currently a blitz on DV in Victoria with thousands of charges being laid and thousands of DV offenders being visited by Vic Pol.
I hope that it isn't triggering worse acts.
This is a terrible tragedy.
The taking out of anger and frustrations on the family must stop.
Everyone is under pressure, violence is never the answer.

First of all - this tragedy happened in Sydney.

Secondly, how exactly would police finally taking harsh action against violent criminal DV offenders possibly make things worse for their victims, let alone lead them to incinerate their kids?

The taking out of anger and frustrations on the family must stop.
Everyone is under pressure, violence is never the answer.

Reckon charging the cowards and put them in custody pending court action due to the threat they pose is what is reqd.

Agree, it’s beyond words.

As a society we do not take violence seriously.

Until we do, incidents like this are the outcome.

Every single one of these offenders has a violent history.

Until we find a way to protect people from these offenders, it will continue to happen.

It is not beyond us. We just haven’t done it.
No, they don't. This dickhead this weekend didn't. My cousin's killer didn't.

This is part of what makes it so difficult to stop. We're doing a shit job of it at the moment but even if we were doing everything possible, there are still instances we'd never be able to stop.

It's a bit weird isn't it. Like you can rob a supermarket or lie on your tax return and see a jail cell, but punch someone in the face and it's "meh don't do it again".

This Kingswood NSW stabbing death today has been confirmed as a DV tragedy.

'The man is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance with a solid build.
He wearing a black jacket, black pants and a red and black basketball singlet.
King also said neither the victim nor the man were known to police, nor had they been involved in any violent or domestic-related criminal matters.
Anyone who sees the man is urged to call triple zero and urged not to approach him.'

and to hear one of the surviving children say “Dad tried to kill us.”
Children know exactly what’s going on and these kids will have to suffer from this horrific act of dv (and the loss of their siblings) by the hands of their Father for the rest of their lives, not to mention the nightmare for the Mother.
There’s No excuse.

*without a domestic violence history. Makes no mention of other violence.
Read the post above yours.

“Neither the victim, nor the man were known to police, nor had they been involved in any violent or domestic related criminal matters”

It’s really neither here nor there, just further proof that these murderers don’t always have a history of violence before committing murder.

Couldn’t agree more.

My cousins 12 month old was asleep in the room next door when her killer bludgeoned her to death.

It just is unreal to me that anyone can do these things.

My condolences to you and your family.
It’s not something any family should go through.
I hope the little one has been wrapped in love and support.
