So I can't really be bothered reading 25 pages, but can anyone summarise if it will be any good for a casual cricket fan?

Off topic, does anyone still play ashes 09 on ps3? Keen for a game
Never mind, doesn't seem to work
You'd have to check on PlanetCricket.net for a game but I'm pretty sure they shut down the online.
Yeah it looks that way. I'll have to remember who I lent cricket 2010 to
You can already create players now.Hi guys just a quick one for Ross, please whatever you do in this game, make sure when your creating a player you can actually do a fairly long name if need be, in ic2010 you could only put in like 6 characters like seriously come on.

And yes you can make them longer than 6 characters.
You can create players, teams, tournaments, match types to all be ready to use day one when you get the game. What does this let you do? I'm not familiar with any of this kind of thing I normally just buy the game and play it haha?
You can create players, teams, tournaments, match types before to all be ready to use day one when you get the game.
The create a player is extremely in-depth and there's options galore on all the other creation types too.
More than 5000 created players already done too that you can download as well.
Every created element is stored on BigAnt's servers that are cross platform. So anyone on PS3, 360 and PC can download them using the Don Bradman Cricket Academy in game (which is the exact same as the one available to download now). All you do is go into the community section and download the players and they will go into your 'My Downloads' list that, again is cross platform and will be right there for you when you get the game day one! Your career player can indeed come from this list if you make them now too.How will this be transferred over to your console? And can you create your my player character of this or will you be required to do this in game when you get the actual disk?
And also who created the 5000 players, big ant or random people?

There have been people at BigAnt that have created players, but also the rabbid community at PlanetCricket and of course others that have seen and downloaded the app have created just about every player and team you could conceive.
You will have your own section for the players that you've created.Awesome, just one more question if you create a few players will you have to search for them later on or will there be a page of your created players?
I've been having a read through on planetcricket and couldn't find the answer.
Multiplayer on one console. i'll be grabbing the game on PS3. is there 2 player multiplayer on one console or only multiplayer over LAN/Network

Yep I asked this, Ross confirmed, there is multiplayer on same console.
WHat about the fact that the batting is done from a different angle (behind the batsmen)
Bowling not being a marker is pretty much something you can do blind now i guess so the view would just be batsmans view?
It apparently is possible to bat with the camera in front of the batsman. I think the comet trail will assist being able to play shots.
Either that or maybe split screen?
Local multiplayer should be awesome now. In the past it was rubbish. At the top of your marker you'd pick a spot on the pitch and the batsman would immediately know where it is pitching. Yeah, if only it were that easy in real life....
