Hately is a real risk to end up at the Bombers. Unless RCDs late season form becomes a little too attractive for the Bombers to pass him by.
Think we win either way Bombers pass Hately up and grab RCD then Hately is a good pick up. Bombers take Hately then "There's something about RCD." Happy either way.
The late growth spurt of RCD 193cm is a good height and maybe he can go forward?

Fully expect to get shut down over this, particularly as we look like landing Lycett. But Z Clarke is having a huge granny for Subiaco on top of a standout season for them, we could do worse as ruck insurance.

Nope, I'm with you. I wanted him last year too, and I want him even more now after the season he's had. Was definitely worth a list spot over any of Toumpas, Snelling or Hewett.

Wouldn't hurt to have a ready to go back up ruck as a rookie. Schoey can talk Ken into it ;)

I reckon his knee was affecting him more at Freo than they let on. He is moving super freely and leaping at pack marks I hadn't seen him get near previously.

I reckon a year at Subiaco was probably better for his confidence than a year at the Magpies.

Let alone Ken preferring to ruck Westhoff.

I think he needed this season though. Make him realise the career is slipping away.

He was terrible at Fremantle.

Signing Zac Clarke if we landed lycett would be a bad move.

We would have to play Frampton Hayes and ladhams in kpp roles which is about the quickest way to destroy their development and the development of our kpps. Would rather we focus on developing rucks rather than stockpiling shit ones
Frampton yes... but ladhams and hayes need to play ruck as much as te hey can

Having my first look at the draft board. Don't like Knightmare's negative points for Hately:

Weaknesses:
Decision-making under pressure
Prone to rushing disposals and not lowering his eyes
Lacks hurt-factor
Acceleration

Sounds like everything we don't need in a top pick.

I disagree with most of that

Either way I wouldn’t be looking to draft him purely because he doesn’t fit a need. Have many players like him already

I don't want Hately. No offence to him as a player but we don't need him. We have his spot covered. It's someone like Rankine or Rozee on the outside that we need.
Same, he is the exact type of player we don't really need.

1. Very intelligent, makes good decisions all round.
2. nope
3. Not really his role.
4. Yeah, a bit.

Think a young Ebert type and you'll get the idea.
