Here we are, itshappening.gif. Las Vegas Bears vs Dragons FFC in the big dance. It doesn't get bigger than this.

The game everyone dreams of playing in as a little kid growing up watching Qooty. For 20, it will end up in happiness and joy. For others, it ends up in tears. Having played in the Season 19 Grand Final, the Dragons still had a whole host of players with Grand Final experience and were looking to continue their dream of winning the flag from 8th on the ladder.

The Bears were intent on ending that dream, and were letting the Dragons know it by an opening 8 goal quarter with KO_KO & Jay-Z contributing down forwards. The second term was time for the Dragons forwards in Determinant to shine and iBeng who was in career best form kicking 3 goals.

A 19 point lead heading into the third quarter saw the Dragons kick the first, before Doctor Gero would kick the Bears only for the quarter. 3 straight goals saw the Las Vegas Bears lead of 19 slowly diminish to just 3 points at the last break.

Jezmiester40 would extend the lead back to 9 points for the Bears in the 4th term before 3 straight goals from superstar cammo6556 saw the Dragons up by 2. Dominating the midfield for the Dragons was again usual suspects Spanna_, roo2macca and VSTone. A Bears goal would peg it to 6 points before the Dragons would get it right back to 19. 2 goals for the Bears in 20 seconds saw it get to just a 4 point Dragon lead before brahj would kick a major to lead by 2. With 4 minutes to go, well, basically, the ball spent the entire time in the Dragons forward line with all Dragons players being too scared to take a shot and the time would run out.

Well done Bears.

Alright, here we are after voting of 21 games has been completed.

At the end of Round 17, we saw cammo6556 in the lead on 173 votes over Hate and VSTone who were on 137 and 121. Followed by Determinant who was on 92 and also had an impressive finals campaign. Will cammo be able to hold on or will Hate or VSTone find a way to leap frog him in the standing and become the Season 22 Ljp86 Medallist?

What an incredible debut season it was for VS. It's not often you find someone who dominates on and off-field. VSTone proved he is sure to be one of the future superstars of the Sweet F.A. VS would poll 6 EKA votes and in tonight's count would poll in 16 of 21 games to claim third place in the Ljp86 Medal.​

It was another stellar season for the outgoing captain as he racks up his second, second place finish to add to his Ljp86 Medal win in Season 19 and his third place finish in Season 20. Always around the mark is Hate and his consistency is very important to the group.

His solid season was backed up by a third straight All-SFA selection. Not too bad of an effort. Hate will look to play game 100 in the early rounds of Season 23. Well done on the second place finish.

PRESENTATION TO THE SEASON 21 LJP86 MEDALIST

In first place with a total 219 votes;

Season 22 was an evolution season for cammo6556 as he joined the Dragons FFC leadership group and helped steady the ship on and off-field. Off-field cammo will replace outgoing captain, Hate as the man at the top of the Dragon Island table in Season 23.

cammo managed an impressive season on the field as well polling in all but 3 games this season, showcasing why he is the future of this club. Further backing up his claim, he was awarded a spot in the All-SFA team. It was a bittersweet ending to the season for cammo as he was adjudged best on ground in the losing team of the Grand Final.

After a 3rd place finish in last seasons count, cammo improves on his terrific form and tonight will take home his first of sure to be many Ljp86 medals. We know there is lots more to come from cammo and wish him the best of luck going forward.

That's the Dragons choking another game this season...

With 3 games to play in Season 22 for the Dragons FFC, they'd go into Round 15 with complete confidence after defeating the West Coast Wonders earlier in the season. All signs early were pointing towards the Dragons cleaning up the floor with the Wonders once again in Season 22 as they'd blast out to a 30 point lead heading into the second quarter.

3 goals in the second from @TheBearAmigos would turn the Wonders on allowing them to only trail by 9 points at the big break. Efforts like WFL and his two goals at plenty of possession would need to continue in order for the Dragons to hold on.

It was an enthralling term as both sides would trade goals. Two late behinds got the Dragons out to an 11 point lead. A Swallow and Ljp86 were commanding the midfield making a good case for BoG as Bucking Beads and _MKMatty were doing the job for the Wonders.

2 late goals to Bucking Beads would see the lead dragged back to 4 points. 4 minutes to play, JT_the_Man would pinch a major giving the Wonders the lead. A 30 point lead blown and the Dragons weren't able to recover.
