Are they extending the bench for the game to 6 or just keeping the usual?

If so, this is how i'd line them up

BIG V

B: C.Brown Scarlett Morris
HB: H.Shaw Fletcher Milburn
C: Stanton Bartel Ling
HF: O'Keefe J.Brown S.Johnson
F: Chapman Fevola B.Johnson
FOW: Hille Ablett Judd
INT: White Hodge Harvey
Foley Goodes Lappin

You're kidding, Stanton ahead of Goodes on the wing?

Come to think of it i can't believe Gilbee didn't get a run. An absolute gun half back. How good would the Vics backline be if it was...

C.Brown, Scarlett, Milburn
H.Shaw, Fletcher, Gilbee

Would be so potent with H.Shaw and Gilbee's rebounding game and Scarlett, Brown and Fletcher's stopping game.

your taking the piss if you think Stanton should be in the starting 22 ahead of the likes of Hodge/Foley/Goodes/Lappin/Harvey

7 on interchange, guys. ;)

Squads are going to be trimmed on May 3 to 30 players, and new players can be added then also.

Based on what's available at the moment, I'd be going with:

B Brown Scarlett Morris
HB Hodge Fletcher Milburn
C Bartel Ling Dal Santo
HF Ablett Brown Goodes
F Chapman Fevola B.Johnson
R Fraser Judd Mitchell
INT S.Johnson, Bradshaw, White, B.Harvey, Thomas, H. Shaw, Power

B Rutten Glass Johncock
HB McLeod C.Cornes A.Hunter
C Goodwin Kerr P.Burgoyne
HF Riewoldt Pavlich S.Burgoyne
F Didak Franklin Richardson
R Cox Black K.Cornes
INT Kirk, Edwards, Charman, Davis, Bateman, Griffen, Corey

Selection wise - Stanton, Cloke, Hille, K.Johnson, Kelly, Lloyd, Montagna, Simpson, Swan, R.Murphy very lucky. Sewell, Waite, M.Murphy, Cross, etc very unlucky.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Spida Everitt added to that squad if he's fit, the Swans would probably want him to get some match fitness, and that ruck division is shizen.

LOL.

Moron alert

This is how I'd line them up I think...

The Dream Team

B: Johncock Rutten Glass
HB: Kennelly Bolton McLeod
C: P.Burgoyne Black Cooney
HF: Franklin Riewoldt Davis
F: Didak Pavlich Goodwin

R: Cox K.Cornes Kerr

I: Koschitzke C.Cornes S.Burgoyne Kirk

Richo should be in there.

2008 averages:

J Kelly: 25 possessions, 7 marks, 4 tackles, 0.75 goals.

B Sewell: 25 possessions, 6 marks, 4.5 tackles, 0.25 goals.

Kelly has had a great start to the year and deserves his spot.
Sewell deserves to be there as well, but not at Kelly's expense.

Sewell does all that whilst still being accountable for an opponent.

Cox is all they need

Didn't help the Eagles much against Sydney, Dockers and Crows (Griffen, Sandy, Jolly all superstars but). And that Vic midfield of Ablett jnr, Goodes, Bartel and Judd won't be able shark any taps due to being weighed down by all their Brownlow medals.

Selection wise - Stanton, Cloke, Hille, K.Johnson, Kelly, Lloyd, Montagna, Simpson, Swan, R.Murphy very lucky. Sewell, Waite, M.Murphy, Cross, etc very unlucky.

I think your being a bit harsh on Travis Cloke and Robert Murphy there, I would of thought in most people's opinions would of been worthy selections.

Both have been alright, but given the myriad of similiar players selected in that squad, they really don't present massive cases to be in there, when there's some deficiencies with the ruck and tall defenders.

I get the feeling though that selection will come down to who are the biggest names, and every club having someone to cheer on (so Lloyd will get in, despite not really warranting it.)

Bradshaw, whilst also in form, can play both forward and back, and makes him a certainty in my lineup. Yet I can see him making way for Monga.

Both awesome teams but i think dreamteam with the edge.

Both forward lines are fantastic and with the quality of midfield delivery the backlines will struggle big time. I think with Glass, Rutten & Cornes though that DT is better equiped to cover the Vics forward line. Vics backline will be seriously stretched with Franklin, Riewolt, Pavlich, Richo & quality crumbers.

Vics rucks are terrible & will get smashed by Cox & Charman.

Vics best hope is in their midfield - will be very very hard to stop.

Hopefully all those named will get on the park.

Can't believe people think this is based on this years form alone. You have to have at least some credits in the bank before playing 4 decent games to start the season.

My crack at it

VIC

B: Darren Milburn - Matthew Scarlett - Campbell Brown
HB: Heath Shaw - Dustin Fletcher - Nigel Lappin
C: Brent Harvey - Chris Judd - Adam Goodes
HF: Gary Ablett Jnr - Jonathan Brown - Ryan O'Keefe
FF: Brad Johnson - Brendan Fevola - Paul Chapman
R: Jeff White - Jimmy Bartel - Luke Hodge
Inter: Dale Morris - Cameron Ling - Josh Fraser - Matthew Lloyd - David Wirrpanda - Nick Dal Santo - Dale Thomas

All Stars

B:
Peter Burgoyne - Ben Rutten - Tadgh Kennelly
HB: Chad Cornes - Craig Bolton - Andrew McLeod
C: Simon Goodwin - Daniel Kerr - Tyson Edwards
HF: Alan Didak - Nick Riewoldt - Brett Burton
FF: Lance Franklin - Matthew Pavlich - Matthew Stokes
R: Dean Cox - Joel Corey - Kane Cornes
Inter: Darren Glass - Simon Black - Justin Koschitzke - Matthew Richardson - Adam Hunter - Shaun Burgoyne - Cameron Mooney

Ben Hudson I would have thought is unlucky to miss for the Dream Team, he was a hard ball get king last year and has started the season well.

Surely done more than Travis Johnstone, Alex McDonald, Stephen Hooper, John Hutton and Clive Waterhouse as well. Maybe even more, but these are certainties.

Has won a b&f and placed 4th in the brownlow thats more than Frasier.
