jackson isnt in richmonds best 22 IMO, people say he is because hes had a big pre season but that fact is hes a replica of kane johnson in that he lumbers along, is slow, kicks backwards and sideways and is horrible to watch. if he was guaranteed 22 games id get him 4 sure tho as like johnson he will get a lot of it. the only good thing about him is he never gives up and tackles well but yeh dont like him. i also think foley wont get tagged as much this year as players like cotchin deledio and cous may draw sum attention away from him. also if these defensive zones dominate this year so will inside midfields as they will tackle a lot more and get a lot more footy as the ball is basically hovering around the half back line and midfiled for most of the game.

 is all I can say about this post.

To anyone that reads this; take the exact opposite of what has been said.

ok i think im strugglin a bit, any ideas

Remove the premium with the biggest injury risk.
Remove the premium with the least potential to increase their average.
Remove the premium where you find the best value in a cheaper player.

Those are the kind of questions I would be asking myself with regards to with player to remove.
i.e. remove Ablett...

yeah thats fair enough, im looking to upgrade yarran, just dont no which premium to downgrade

You've gone a premium/rookie strategy so if that's what you want to do I'd say stick with it and just do your research to make sure you pick the right rookies. For mine I think there has been a huge over-reaction to yarran rolling his ankle in the first NAB cup game. The kid can play, and can play with men - averaging 5 shots a game in the WAFL last year and he kicked 6 or 7 in his first game - this all with less of a fitness base and without stevens/houlihan/gibbs kicking to him (or more accurately probably, Fev to feed off). He MIGHT not play the first game, and at least you'll know before the lockout, but neither did Palmer, and if he doesn't have anothersetback prior to the start of the season he'll get an early game for sure.

I agree. When he went off, he had a bit of a wry grin on his face to be honest. Bit of a grimace, half a smirk IMO, and probably was just thinking how he was a bit unlucky. Being a first year player and his first game, and with the substitutes, he got subbed off. Not alot to worry about. If hodge or judd or even anyone did that in home and away season, theyd be back on the ground soon after IMO.

B: Goddard, C.Cornes, Drummond, Malceski, Smith, Raines, Hill (Suban, Rance)
C: K.Cornes, Selwood, Gibbs, Judd, Kerr, Rich (Sidebottom, Davenport)
R: Cox, Ottens (Trengrove, Currie)
F: Deledio, Harvey, Giansiracusa, S.Johnson, Higgins, Skipworth, Ziebell (T.Walker, Gumbleton)

I'm thinking of maybe rejigging my backline...with smith being no certainty of playing in the first few games.

Your team is amazing besides your backline. :)

I think you have too much injury risk in your backline with Drummond & Smith especially (Smith even more so now). Are you sure that Raines & Hill will get every game, and that if they don't, your reserves will cover them? I also think having both Judd & Kerr in the team is risky. I don't think either is going to appreciate by a great margin (less than cheaper priced players), neither is particularly suited to DT. Either one is fine, but I think there are cheaper midfielders who will give you value. The extra money can be used to upgrade your backline.

It's not overly different from the majority of teams on here.. Besides swapping a premium back for an extra premium forward.
Thats true, and thats what I seriously hate... but theres really other no tactics you can go.
This is why I dont post my team, my team is different compared to others.

Ok so my team at the moments sits like :

B : Hodge, Goddard, Gilbee, Houlihan, Raines, Grimes, Hill
C : Ablett, Boyd, Pendlebury, Judd, Skipworth, Rich
R : Cox, Kreuzer
F : Pavlich, Didak, Chapman, Fevola, Hawkins, Higgins, Ziebell

Thoughts?

Downgrade one of the Pendlebury/Judd to a Haselby or something to atleast upgrade one of the Raines/Grimes/Hill combo.

Fair call on most of that, I'm just playing around with my side right now. However, Raines should play most games and if he does he will score 75+

What do you guys think of this revision?

B: Goddard, C.Cornes, Adcock, McPhee, Houlihan, Raines, Collier (Suban, Rance)
C: S.Tuck, Selwood, Gibbs, Masten, Kerr, Rich (Sidebottom, Davenport)
R: Cox, Ottens (Trengrove, Currie)
F: Deledio, Harvey, Giansiracusa, S.Johnson, Higgins, Skipworth, Ziebell (T.Walker, Gumbleton)

I think Tuck is a relatively unique option for a lock in midfielder. He was the top DT and SC scorer in the second half of last year if I recall correctly and is 100% fit and raring to go. Cousins just takes that little bit of pressure off him too. Nobody seems to have him and he was 20k cheaper than Kornes.

Maximus15: Your last 5 players have come off injuries or may not be in the 22 every week.
Massive risk considering your bench.

Some other interesting choices however thats the main thing i see

i'd really really love some peoples opinions on my team. I've decided to go for some big guns because I want to save trades and I want them in my team at the end of the year. Same goes for Riewoldt, he may be underdone but i dont want to waste a trade on picking him up during the year. And Dalziell, I simply rate really highly so he'll be staying too. Anyway with this in mind. what are ur thoughts?

Backs: S.Fisher, Goddard, Lockyer, Raines, Houlihan, Grimes, Collier (Hill, Cheney)
