No surprise. The DT site is a piece of shit. No matter where I access it, at home, laptop, uni, work etc, it's always slow & useless. The SC site isn't perfect, but is 1000 times better.

I know it's to do with their servers, not my connection, but I'm on dial-up too, so you'd think it'd be even slower for me, but it's been the same speed as it always is.

This has happened to my opponent too! It is a mate in my league who won last year and has been going decent this year.

Then the round started last night and Hill was his Captain, I was just thinking wtf? Obviously something happened though...

Don't freak out. Shit happens. Web servers and databases crash from time to time. I work on a similar sort of application, and I can tell you when our site crashes the protocol is to come into work to fix it no matter what time or day it is. Virtualsports will be working on it as we speak.

Go to sleep. When you wake up tomorrow it'll probably be fixed.

Since lock out Ive been able to get on once and it loaded all crap and couldn't even log in.

It seems like the VirtualSPORTS Web sites may have been hacked into. I suspect their database security has been compromised via SQL injection due to some poorly written code. This could explain the weird data some users are reporting.

They could also be experiencing some type of denial of service attack where unsolicited page requests flood the web server(s).

Whatever the case, they need to get on top of it as it prevented many users from trading prior to the lockout last night.

This does place some question marks on VirtualSPORTS and the AFL on whether they're up to the task in conducting an online fantasy competition.
