I have done a mock super coach team as and the only lockS were lids and cotch..
Dusty seems a,likely pick for me
Vas seems is a big maybe

Omeara seems the best buy across the board.. Will be in 95% of sides

I like the Cox / Nic Nat combo as DPP, Ruck / FWD.

I think i'll go for Roughead/Nat/Jenkins for extra cover. Just dont have faith in Cox's body...

Cotch and Martin are the 2 Tiger locks for me at this stage. I am not intending to take Lids as a midfielder but this will be my first year without him since he started playing.

I am not going to worry about DPP status, I will concentrate on picking the best players that I can afford and will not sacrifice quality for DPP flexibility. With additional emergencies and trades this year, I don't this this flexibility will be as crucial.

My rucks will probably be Leuenberger and Mumford (or Goldstein). They are all good value.

Hi All,

Started working on my DT over the holidays and this is the first year im going in without Deledio or Goddard.

Picking that premium ruck is tricky this year - Cox is a year older but he was the best in 2012 and played 22 so durability seem okay.

NicNat is behind in his pre-season after back surgery early on and is a much better supercoach player than DT

So good value though in guys like Luenberger and Vardy a bit lower

Bigfooty Tigers 1 League - Premier 2012 got a tad lucky in the finals but a premiership is a premiership

Overall i struggled a bit in comparison with previous seasons, ended up at rank 1786 with a peak of 1244 - hovered in between there most of the season and never really got going.

I'd love to join a standard tigers league and also a DTdraft league if they are up and going in 2013

Had a horrible year where the rucks were concerned. (Cost 4 trades)

Mumford was a complete waste of space and Goldstein cost me an eliminator win.

I have 3 tigers at this early stage: Cotchin, Martin & Vlastuin.

Not sold on the Cox forward idea as I want S. Johnson & C. Sylvia which are round 12 bye as well.

Don't know about DT as I only play Supercoach but I believe it's been dumbed down this year so people don't need to worry about, could be wrong though.

As for badges, I have no idea to be honest but haven't seen any so I would say no most likely.

It is different this year with the best 18; however you would want to minimise how many premium players are effected each round of the MBR.

At the moment I have 16 premium players in my draft side.

The byes are so far ahead in that I think it is almost impossible to plan for in reality unless you don't plan to make any trades until that point but you should probably be well into the second round of rookie upgrades by then. So your team will likely have 8-10 different players from round 1.

You can also use a method where you only take a maximum of 2 (maybe 3 for the top 4scoring DT clubs) players from any one club.

If there is a theory then plan only for week 1 of byes to make sure your team is full for week one. If you can get through unaffected in week one that's all you can do - at best.

Once week one is down then you can trade in the players who have already had their bye in round 11 to strengthen your team for rounds 12 & 13.

Its impossible to escape without some duckeggs.

Check which teams have the byes in the same rounds and don't try to have to many players from those teams in your squad in the same positions......worked for me last season, went 3-0 in the bye rounds.

DreamTeam has become almost luck since the byes have entered the fixture. Every I lose the passion to do it. I used to be apart of the No Passengers group on BF, but these days barely put any thought into my team.

i finished 72nd last season in SC. i put a bit of planning into the bye rounds before it kicked off. theory was simply to keep the spread of players in my team even across the 3 bye rounds, although i could afford to perhaps have a heavier load of players from teams who had the bye in the 2nd and 3rd week because you could then trade those guys for players who had byes in the 1st/2nd week once their bye had passed. and u had 3 trades each week too. meant i had trade conservatively early on but it worked ok. minimised 0's and helped my ranking. not as crucial this year with best 18 getting their score counted.

I'm quite a big wrap for Rance this year with Chaplin coming in and taking the No.1 forwards I reckon he will get a lot more 3rd man up marks and be used more often coming out of defence without the fear of leaving his man so much. Also he scored pretty well last year with these limitations
