People saying that Swallow has no scoring potential... anybody remember how Daniel Rich went in his first NAB Cup?

I am not one of those people, I think he has great scoring potential.
However, other than Harris, there are 2 other players cheaper than Swallow who I think will average more.

In the glimpes I saw of him in the NAB Cup though, I thought he was a dead set gun. Extremely quick hands at ground level, wins his own ball, hard at the contest and very smart. Gets to the right places and I would be suprised if he did not hit 18-20 possessions most games.

SC stardom written all over him.

The game against the eagles he was tagged, having said that did still get 17 posses and only scored 57 IIRC. Although tagged by Selwood and still scored 57 is impressive in an a pretty avg side that fielded.

Unsure what happen in NAB 4.

Swallow will be a great choice. He has had some smaller scores over the NAB, but he has been copping a tag. Vs the Lions he had a good first qtr, had 8 touches or so, but after that Raines wore him like a glove, think he finished with 15-17 touches for the game.

When the best 22 for GC is on the park, he won't have that heavy tag on him. He is also one of the GC rookies most likely NOT to be rested or rotated.

Thompson too, Corey is a bit of a risk being average last year.

Didak, Pavlich, Kade Simpson, or Marc Murphy?!?!? I'm thinking Dids.

where did you hear that dude?

Didn't hear it anywhere. Just throwing up a theory. Collingwood have the strongest list so as good as Krak has been, there's still a possibility he'll be starting sub. Like most people I'll be locking him in on the ground so I'm hoping like hell that he's in the starting 21.

I can just see there'll be a lot of unjustified outrage if he does start as the sub. Think we'll possibly see this with a lot of rookies who have shown promise in the pre-season.

hopefully they put a big man as sub like leigh brown

A-Krak as a sub!! Crap NO! ...surely they won't.

Corey is to old now to be a dt premium, not worth the risk with the Cats having that bye late in the season makes it hard to want many gee players in ya team. I have 2 in saying that though.

This is going to be one the craziest round one lock outs ever!

Murphy is mr consistent and have even chosen him over Judd this season.

I'm warming to Murphy too :thumbsu:

Pendlebury vs Selwood vs Bartel vs Murphy (already have Swan)?

In an ideal world (no byes), i'd choose Pendlebury for sure. I'm worried about the no-Ablett factor with both Bartel and Selwood. Murphy looks tempting...

He was 28 a month ago. He only just turned 29, I would not call that "old" in football terms, when you have got guys like Fletch still going around at the age of 36.

Nigel Lappin averaged 100 when he was 31 (in 2007)...and 100 back then is the equivalent to 105-110 now.
