Beams or Bewick?

Bewick seems to have done enough to stitch up a spot whereas Beams hasn't lit the preseason on fire like many of us expected him to. At this point I'd take Bewick, but Beams might be a good option to downgrade to later in the year.

Im on the big bergers bandwagon, his season last year was underrated and I think at 22/23 years of age he will mark himself on the competition.

Hows his pre-season tracking, any concerns?

From the Lions I'd go Bewick and Beams before Green. Green's a chance to play games at some stage this year, but hasn't been sighted much in pre-season, as opposed to the other two.

I've got Bewick in my team at this stage. I reckon he's the best bet out of the rookie-priced Lions at this point in time (eg: until the Round 1 selections come out!).

Most likely at this point. He's played fairly solidly in the preseason games, definitely not in our worst, but we do have a habit of making debutants wait their turn (see Rockliff last year) so I'd probably only guess at him being in.

Adcock is traveling well and has had a great couple of weeks racking up possessions across half back. Should continue of his form in the regular season with Drummond missing the first few weeks. But getting Adcock comes with the risk of him been injured.

Rockliff is too pricey for my liking but they will rack up big numbers each week and won't get tagged. He has been one of our best players in the pre season games.

He's injured, as usual, according to their injury list - achilles this time and out indefinitely - avoid him until he can prove his body can still handle the rigours of AFL.

I'm bullish that Hanley will play every game if fit, but I don't think he's quite ready yet to "explode" points-wise....so will avg maybe 75, 80 at best. Departing from fantasy footy for a minute, but if Hanley and Ash can provide dash with a fit Drummo (admittedly a long shot (pun intended)), our rebound ability will be fantastic.

Hanley's in my team, he provides much needed run and is a strong lad, can see him getting a fair number of games. Came in round 15 last year and didn't go out again. Can only see him getting dropped with a large drop in form, reckon he will average 75-80.

McCauley injured his ankle in the match against GC and will be out for the opening rounds but IMO will get games this season. Get Derickx.

Hey guys sorry to intrude, purely dt related question- will bewick get games this year and pump out some decent scores? All the best this year

He has improved with every game, culminating in a big score last week against the Suns. However, I'm not sure that is good form. He's highly likely to have earned a spot for round 1 but there are a few breathing down his neck.

I can see him putting a few games together - enough to warrant him being selected as a cash cow.
