I definately wouldnt bring in heath this week. I know he scored well however i dont think his JS is very good in the sydney side. They are already playing Jetta, Taylor(i know hos not a rookie) and Rohan with TDL and Mcneil knocking on the door with impressive performaces in the 2's. I would want to see another good performance this week MINIMUM from heath before i even considered bringing him in.
So i guess that pritty much writes off option one. If you think you have a good enough backline and no use for Gram id probably just trade out gram to a midfield premium.

I reckon Waters is good enough to be a keeper so I feel that Grams position in the mids could be put to better use.

Mitchell
Boyd

Stanton

Currently my midfield/forward line is

Swan, Bartel, Stanton, Barlow, Trengove, Martin (JKT, Shuey)

Rok, Brown, Sylvia, Didak, Gia, Pods, Hall (Watts, Rockliff)

Thoughts for trades are as followed.

This week either,

Trengove - Goodes or

Hall - Goodes

Then following on from this in the next week or two i will look at getting Mcneil in either the forward line/ midfield, dependent on where Goodes goes.

What are people's thoughts?

Goodes into my forwards or mids? If he is in my mids is this blocking up a spot for a fallen gun which I will eventually upgrade Shuey to?

Personally I think you should wait a week.

Montag's BE's is still high enough to make sure he doesn't rise in price too much.

Davis will rise again this week, so best keep him for a little bit more.

I'd rather Watts over Playfair but that's just me.

Unsure which Mid premium to get in for Bastinac. I'm doing a double trade this week, Goodes in for Peterson, and Bastinac for someone. I can afford anyone under 473k, so I was thinking Hayes, Judd or Boyd based on pure scoring potential over the rest of the year. Could anybody give advice?

sure JKT is at a massive -50 BE but he doesn't look like getting a game anytime soon and may not play a game again this year.

Would it be a good option to downgrade him to Mcneil and make the 50k and then have the ability to use the DP for cover?

Maybe later in the year - but why use it now when McNeil hasn't played a single game yet and if you have no pending serious issues in your side?

Boyd, looking at this BE, may continue to drop in price whereas Goodes's BE is getting low so he will start to rise again next week.

I'd go with option 1.

I'd get Goodes this week, if that's who you want.

Trengove is still kicking nicely and could easily go past $300k in the next few weeks.

There are a ton of fallen mids this week and there will be a ton all year....what's not plentiful is downgrade targets unfortunately.

Personally I think Fisher is the best value of the three.

Shaw is way too inconsistent and he has shown this beautifully all year.

Hargrave has played + 100 games. Mind you the 125 last week was also in the same week which Lake score 190+ which suggests that the Kangaroos applied no forward pressure at all.

Just my opinion though.

Whats your other mid rookie, i know its risky but im thinking of trading Bastanic / Moles to McNeil tis week, i figure if i needed cover i could use a forward like Chappy, ROK or Dids to cover and move gumby on the round, or the safer option and just do the Moles > McNeil trade and pocket te 90k, you reckon the Bastinac > McNeil would be too risky?

I am tossing up this week. Going for a win this week with the League, here are two options.

Option One:

Josh Hunt (bench player) for rookie and J.Mckenzie to Montagna
would give my midfield
J.Bartel K.Cornes J.Selwood M.Boyd L.Montagna R.Bastinac
would expose my forwardline: Chapman Pavlich Gian Brown Hall Ziebs Pods

Option Two:

Barry Hall to Neville Jetta and J.Ziebell to R.O'Keefe
would give me a forwardline of Chappy Pavlich Gian Brown O'Keefe Jetta Pods
while Mids would be Bartel Kornes Selwood Boyd Mckenzie and Bastinac

Hey All,

I have 12 trades and 8K left.

My team is as follows:

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Shaw, Waters, Maguire, Kennelly (Emerg: Davis & Webberley)

Mids: Bartel, Swan, Gibbs, Selwood, Montagna, Barlow (Emerg: Martin & Shuey)

Rucks: Sandilands, Hills (Emerg: Warnock & Lobbe)

Fwds: Pavlich, ROK, Brown, Gia, Buddy, Didak, Pods (Emerg: Gumbleton & Rockliff)

Now I think my team is ok, but I need to get rid of Kennelly either this week or next.

My thoughts are downgrade Rockliff --> Playfair & Kennelly --> $360,000 defender (Fisher, Duffield).

I really want Gilbert though who costs a bit more. Who else can I downgrade to get that extra bit of money.

Any ideas what I should do?

Looking at doing Kennedy -> Goodes this week, which is a $40k upgrade for an average scoring increase of 20-25ppg. Kennedy and Zeibell would be the two I'm looking at upgrading this week, but Kennedy has a BE of 106 compared to 56, and I feel it could be the best time to trade him.

So I have:

Trade 1:
Kennedy -> Goodes

My next three options are:

Trade 2:
Maguire -> Any defender under $395k. In this group are Gilbert, Mackie, Duffield, Malceski, Shaw and Fisher

Have Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Grimes, Waite, Maguire, Waters (Webberley, Hunt)

Trade 3:
Ebert (Brad) -> Any midfielder under $484k (Anyone other than Ablett or Chapman)

Have Bartel, Montagna, Mitchell, Cooney, Barlow, Ebert (JKT, Howlett)

Trade 4:
No trade, bank the money for later


I don't know if it's just me, but it is really hard to find much value in the forward line this year, and Chapman still scares me. Murphy's Law says as soon as I grab him, PING! and yet I may regret not doing it anyway.

Any thoughts / suggestions or ideas would be warmly appreciated

I'd hold Rockliff as he looks to have good JS with all these injuries up at Brisbane. All the same, its not a bad trade if you pull the trigger, Playfair should go alright imo. And at the same time, Gilbert is a gun and someone who will be a more than formidable replacement for Kennells.

Your team looks solid mate!

It is a tough one. Rockliff still has price appreciation in him however Playfair's JS is the issue. What you could do is bring in Watts and upgrade Kennelly to Fisher. You really only need one more upgrade then (Goose). So by getting Watts, who i think has pretty solid JS now that he has made it into the side, you bring in another healthy cash cow to eventually get someone like Gilbert.

Does anyone have any idea on the job security of Playfair? I could get Watts but I may need that money in a couple of weeks when I pick up Ablett. I'm planning to keep Gumby on the bench for the rest of the year so he will be my solid emergency.

I do agree however that there is no need to bring him in until the week you need him as cover.

If you want to use D/P your team obviously would be in a position where you're copping zeroes.

McNeil getting games would make it much more enticing obviously.

Am just wondering what to do this week. I feel my main concern is Ballantyne and I would like to be rid of him but only have $1.3k in bank so will need a downgrade elsewhere but I have no appreciating cows. Any suggestions, 12 trades in the bank?

And before you say, I am going to stick with Tippett, ive worn it this far ill wear it for the rest of the season.
