Troy Wilson. He had about 3 moves on the field, Run in straight line, shank kick for goal and knock over/pole axe defender filling space in fron of him.

McCrabb from Geelong, good for a laugh. Same with Michael Laffey for Richmond in the 80's.

Aaron Keating was good for ridicule given he played in 2 premierships in 2 weeks (one in the SANFL), but had virtually no ability whatsoever.

Athos Hrysoulakis, i have no idea how to spell his surname, but he started with a bang for Collingwood, but then faded out.

Then there's Zanotti, and John Gastev who was a gun but played in a rubbish side.

love johnny gastev, he owns/owned a pub (not sure if he still has it, no longer live there) and it had some awesome sports memoribillia. He always worked behind the bar and was good for a chat ... legendary bloke

The OP mentioned Bulluss, he wasn't a dud. Was a very decent CHB, played State of Origin also. I remember Stewart Loewe being his bitch.

Chris Groom, kicked 3 on debut for the dockers(also the dockers first game in the afl) then played 6 more games and was never seen again.
The crows got Mcleod for the pick freo traded for him, lolololol.

How about this for a bast from the past - DANNY DICKFOS

Legend of Queensland Football, and of course there's also the famous book 6 Degrees of Danny Dickfos. National Library has a copy apparently.

Better known these days as "The Mole" (Season 2 I believe it was)

We had a few at Doggie land....
- Sedat Sir
- Jason Watts (in 96 we drafted what we thought was a forward line in Cook and Jakovich.....Watts kicked 45 goals, the other 2 didn't get half that)
- Todd Curley
- Simon Minton-Connell (still waiting to see vision of him taking a mark that isn't a chest mark)

Jason Watts did kick the winning goal vs Freo at WO that year, nice bit of play.

Todd Curley wasn't really a dud - he was the most effective disposer of the ball in the AFL one year (the year he collided with the umpire and got 4 weeks!). Went back to the WAFL with a fair bit of success too I believe.

I always had a soft spot for Bernard Toohey and Matty Dent - tough, no nonsence defenders.

hah was going to give him a mention , me and my brother loved watchign eagles games just to see him do this. Just mindlessly ran straight as you said and cannon into anyone in his path, teammate or opposition

To be fair they were both just bad at kicking, in regards to Nick Gill he wasn't a spud, nor unskilled or untalented, he just didn't have the body to stand up to AFL football. From the glimpses he showed I believe that if he actually wasn't injury prone he would have been a good AFL player. Gill was also probably the smartest bloke on our list.

Unfortunately as KPF's that was exactly what made them duds to a degree. Had they been ruckmen, then their kicking deficiencies would have been forgiveable.

Emu is indeed a very smart player but his disposal more than negated those smarts (except in field kicking where, strangely he seldom missed a target). maybe he should have been permantly stationed on a wing, a al Richo.
