I think his message was pretty clear. No media misquoting there.
Gee, there are a lot of 'half-empty' kind of people about.
The race has been run and won, I for one think all on the board have the best interests of the club at heart. The board is made up of many differing opinions and backgrounds. Time to look at this as a positive and move on. At the very least all decisions here onwards will be debated, critically analysed and not taken lightly.

They do what they think is the best thing for the club in their heads. This club IMO can survive and be stand alone in Melbourne. They have given up and are taking the easy option.
We will be the Gold Coast Kangaroos by 2010.
Sorry Uncle but the only defeatest attitude here is yours. Do you honestly believe someone could be bored enough to make the effort to get on the board of an AFL club just to destroy it?

St Kilda for example.. played in Tassie for financial reasons untill they were more stable and now look at them

Can you not see that in their minds it is not destroying it. They get money from the AFL from taking us up there, threy are looking at the Fitzroy position and are thinking we need to get up there. We are not Fitzroy, we have enough fans to be a strong viable club in Melbourne but when was the last time we tried to do this? We have been playing interstate home matches since 1998 without success.
The club will lose me and many others when (not if) they decide to move to the Gold Coast.
As for put up or shut up, I am sick to death of that argument, I put in over a thousand dollars every year to the club, how about instead of trying to get more money out of people like us, try and recruit some new fans IN MELBOURNE!!

Good point mate. This is exactly what people need to do. Those that don't have memberships put your hand in your pockets and buy a BLOODY MEMBERSHIP...
