My team should also have - OUT : Licuria, IN : Egan

Cloke may be vital to our structure but at this stage he's not giving us anything. I believe he needs to get back to Willi, play some good footy and then come back to the seniors.

Medhurst was average, but he worked hard when the ball hit the deck. He deserves a fair go before the same fans who criticize Leon Davis come out of the woodwork. He needs to put in a big one so he doesn't have to sacrifice his spot for Alan Didak.

There's no point keeping Chris Egan in the reserves. He will get more opportunities in the seniors, and he adds a little something into the mix, but one slip-up and Brad Dick is closer than we think.

We need speed and run run run run... it's obvious what the modern game now requires, the Bulldogs and Coasters are showing the way

Don't want to be the less talented but very committed Swans who flood and shut down...

We have the bookends (Pebbles and Presty) we have the ruckman in Fraser

Now give me the cruise missiles... I want RUN

Egan will come in for sure.

Buckley was suppose to come back for the Richmond game and Dids was expected for round one so when are they coming back?

Any chance?

Anyone know when Didak,Buckley & Holland coming back we need them not desperately because its only RD 3. I hear Didak & Hollands to come back in a few weeks I hope thats not the case.

I'd leave Cloke in. It is commonly said that CHF is the hardest position to play so I'd give a few more weeks. Richards wasn't bad in the ruck, and Bryan may not be available anyway as he's been reported in the Willi match.

Based on the Williamstown results I'd think we'll see Cox and maybe Dic/k get their first games, maybe for Nicholls and Wakelin. The other main offender of the night and could be in a vulnurable position was Licuria. Didn't get the ball much, didn't hold Kerr, missed a vital goal he should have kicked and gave away maybe for Didak if he's fit. I haven't heard how far away he is.

Holland will be back Round 7 (he's serving a 6 match suspension from last year's final). Buckley's still a couple of weeks away I think, not sure about Didak, I think that's a week by week thing at the moment.

That was one of Paul Licurias worst game of his career he was torn apart by Kerr for his sake lets hope if he does play against Richmond he hits back and hard. A good 30 odd touches and a goal or two is the Licca everyones knows.

I hear Lonie will miss up to 3 weeks.

If Lonie doesn't play I wouldn't mind giving Davies a go. Not necessarily because he is ahead of Nicholls, Dick, Toovey and co in the pecking order, but he is a player who we need to find out, probably for the last time, if he will sink or swim at AFL level. With Lonie and Lica out, it gives him an opportunity to play as a tagger or off the HBF.

I was just reading this board and thought it interesting that so many of you people want waleklin out for match up purposes.
I would have though Presti would go to Richo and then you would need to Wakelin to match up on Schultz or Polak if he goes foward. On the same topic, who do you think will match up on our fowards?

Richo: Probs Presti
Pettifer:Lockyer or O'Brian?
Schultz: Maxwell or Wakelin?
Brown(if he plays): Clement
Krakouer: H Shaw playing loose
Simmonds(If he plays, he will rest up foward alot): Wakelin?
Polak:???

Clearly Richo, Schultz, Simmonds and Polak won't all be up foward at the same time.

Whats your match-ups?

Richo - Presti
Pettifer - O'Brien/Maxwell/Lonie
Schultz - Wakelin (if playing)/Cox/Maxell
Brown - Clement/Lonie (if playing)
Krakouer - H.Shaw or R.Shaw (if playing)
Simmonds - when resting Maxwell, Clement, Presti, Wakelin/Cox
Polak - Like you said Polak, Richo, Simmo, Schultz won't be all forward at the same time even if they are Clement/Maxwell/Cox (or Wakelin) and Presti are tall enough to cover all of them. The Shaws or Lockyer can cover the remaining smalls.

IN: Cox, Egan
OUT: Nicholls, Licuria

Assumed Lonie injured.

4 frees against for Nicholls and 5 by Licca. We just can't afford to give up numbers like that from players who aren't hurting the opposition when they do get the footy.

Also, does Cox play a similar role at Willy that Lonie does for the Pies?
