Yeah to be fair it was probably the worse sim luck of my career so far, and you and Bangers got it first up. On the other hand, I've seen teams go through far worse.

Round 9 - Sun Sept 27th, 2020
East Side Hawks 17.6.108 lost to Fighting Furies 17.12.114 @ The Eyrie

Round 9 saw a battle between second and second-last on the SFA ladder, as the Hawks played host to the Furies at the Eyrie. The Hawks came into this one desperate for a win, boasting just 2 victories from 8 games. The Furies were in fine form, coming in off 4 straight wins.

The opening 10 minutes of the game saw the Hawks concede yet another sluggish start, as the Furies kicked 4 goals to 1 in the first 10 minutes. PMBangers starred early, kicking the Hawks first 3 majors. The Furies go into quarter time with a 19 point advantage, kicking 6.2 to the Hawks 3.1. TJASTA , Wacky Tiger , Mister M , Elton Johns Wig , ChappyUK , and The Half Back all found the scoreboard for the Furies in the opening term.

PMBangers continued to fight a lone battle as he kicked his, and the teams 4th to open the second term. TJASTA was quick to respond with a goal of their own, before Chipmunk , por_please_ya , and larrikin kicked 3 on the trot for the Hawks to put them in front by a point. A flurry of goals towards the end of the quarter saw PMBangers day out get better as he took himself to 6 in a half, with SM also piling on more pain for the Furies. A stirring comeback from the Hawks saw them somehow go into halftime with a 6 point lead, as 10.3 played 9.3 at the main break.
The second half started and The Half Back slotted their second to put the Furies back in front briefly. In a low scoring quarter, Milera2Betts , por_please_ya , and Itsmyshow would add another 3 majors for the Hawks before jackenny kicked a late one to send the Hawks into the final change with a 25 point advantage.

TJASTA started the final term by keeping the Furies hopes alive with an early major, however 11kgm quickly cancelled it out with one of his own. ChappyUK and The Half Back both kicked 2 goals each to put the Furies in front with limited time remaining, however The Jesus kicked a miracle goal to swing the lead back the Hawks way. 2 late goals from Piggy Smalls and Carson Dial would see the Furies run out victors in a close game, defeating the Hawks 17.6.108 - 17.12.114

ChappyUK was best afield with 23 disposals and 4 goals, while PMBangers was the standout Hawk with 6 majors of his own.
