Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

Is the play test at Frankston EB true? I can't find a post from Ross about it, but I'm hearing that it's on.

I posted a quote of it only a few post above this one?

I saw that, but I wanted confirmation (the actual post from Ross). I first heard about it elsewhere and I didn't want to turn up without seeing whether it was true myself. I was just surprised is all. Totally didn't expect the play test to make a trip down to Frankston.

If you click that little arrow at the end of the quote it will take you to the original post.

Ross,

I have been doing my best to pimp your game on various other forums I use. I was just so wrapt with it that I really want it to do well so we can continue to grow the franchise and get new games! :thumbsu:

Thanks :D

Think they would have gone to great lengths to avoid putting St Kilda players & Clinic in the same sentance. :thumbsu:

lol

Oh, I wondered what you were trying to do there. Not cool Ross..

There is a player creator video on HES' website/FaceBook

I'll also be carrying a knife to fend off intruders into our great suburb.

Too right! Indeed three of us on the Big Ant AFL team went to Frankston High.

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

The places previews of the game that will definitely have Big Ant Studios in attendance are:

EB Games
Northland Saturday, 19 March 2011 (Andy)
Swanston St Thursday, 24 March 2011 (Ross & Andy)
Southland Sunday, 27 March 2011 (Ross)
Werribee Saturday, 2 April 2011 (TBA)
Fountain Gate Saturday, 9 April 2011 (TBA)
and now Franktston Sunday 20 March (Ross)

BTW: Inside Football has a preview of AFL Live in this weeks' edition, http://www.insidefootballonline.com/

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

Is Frankston even open?

It's currently undertaking a mass renovation and the whole joint is basically shut.

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

But G Dub aren't in the game. Bit pointless touting it for those who would only want to play as the team they can't even select!

But I thought GWS are in the VFL this year and I also thought the VFL and a few other leagues was in this game too but now I cant find where that was posted anymore! are there any other leagues in this game or is it only AFL teams and the indigenious, all-stars and the vics sides? I remember reading somewhere the TAC was in it

Frankston's not so bad, before they built the 8 cinemas at Southland it was where I went to the movies or Timezone as a kid. :)

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

I remember TAC, VFL etc on the xbox display boxes at EB a month ago. Weird they wouldn't include it on the 360 version.

That's EB's fault, they mixed up the information regarding the Wii game made by Wicked Witch with the PS3/360/PC game by Big Ant.

really hope they are included! I already know that the WAFL isnt in either game and can live with that, but being able to thrash VFL sides on ps3/xbox would be awesome, not to mention the international and all australian sides. Hope WAFL is included next year!! :)

It's not in the BigAnt version. Ross may be able to fill us in if it's in scope for future releases.

From Ross' wording at the time that they were confirmed as not being in (and this is my complete speculation) it sounded as if given the time they will put them in eventually.

The problem has been for the first version that everything being built from the ground up and the massive focus on getting the gameplay right before anything else is why they haven't been included. It may take a couple of years (as the focus for the next version will definitely be on Be A Pro and Franchise before anything else).

Would love to eventually see it though for sure.
