I don’t know who these other players are. But I doubt they will expect to go from a couple of games out of the finals to a premiership contender. Make finals would be the first goal.

Are they not learning from there past
Twice they’ve loaded up and won it and been relegated straight away
It is not sustainable
They have loads of good 1 pointers running around at other clubs
Get them back and back there junior program and they’ll be a powerhouse very quickly

Agree Start Again. Their juniors are exceptionally good and have heaps of talent in their 18's with a few playing regularly in the seniors. Back to their old habits. As you've said, a quick fix but won't last.

How many we expecting to sign with Roxy ? They will need a lot more than Golding do be a finals contender ? Star player at Glenroy but has only managed 8 games over the last 2 seasons.

Can’t imagine Saturdays runner up, St Albans and Hillside will drop away, and if Avondale keep the core of this years list they will comfortably make the 5.

Oak Park will be primed to build on this year, and if true a few more guns land at CB they should be very well placed.

West Coburg making three GF’s in a row is actually a fantastic achievement, they do it with homegrowns and a moderate budget. Grand Finals are incredibly hard to get to and they’ve come up against a red hot favourite in all three. Airport West would have been shorter than Deer Park last season, they had a premier ready team. Deer Park obviously too strong last year after been put into a second tier league by the imbeciles at HQ, and I think most would concede Marby pretty firm favs tomorrow albeit this is WC’s best shot at it.

By the way, West Coburg have hosted plenty of home games at Shore Res in Premier. It’s a patch of grasss with goalposts at either end, in a league full of pox grounds.

Id argue the DP team fielded in the granny tho was far superior then APW team. That team was better then their team of this year.

Mate you cant be a fan of the artificial grass in the goal square at the play ground end. That is not safe whatso ever
