He’s anything but that. Went to C grade as a 37 year old. Been a superstar for years in far better competitions than this one.

Watched him play some excellent games for Kyneton in the Bendigo league…

He’d be in the best 3-4 small forwards in that competition in the last 10 years…

Coming third to Stephen Milne and Lachlan Sharp is no disgrace at all.

Should be chasing youth not old legs, want to be looking at long term growth not short term gain
Who chases youth these days ?
I’d take quality and a bloke who probably would have kicked 100 this year if not for a season ending injury.
good quality Youth should be aiming to play at a higher level, “mature” Proven players get you into Div 1 and teach the youth then build from there.

Not smart, get him to play a season in div2, be a large part of your team, you win a flag, you go up, he's gone and back down you go, lose lose situation

Wouldn’t be surprised if some of their other key players also avoided Div 1 if that was to eventuate.

So stay in div 2 forever? How long do you want to chase youth for? You need experience to win flags

Hawkes definitely a massive fan of Benny as is anyone who meets him , he wants to play in a flag , the last two years he has played and got injured in two premiership sides , hard to take , let him choose whoever it might be , great player .

Agree, he is a great bloke. I have only met him a few times but seen him play a lot. And know a lot of people who know him and from what I have heard, he will be chasing a flag with burnside. Not sure if confirmed yet. But just what I have heard

How is it twice, from memory CD told HS in the middle of his last year that he wouldn’t go around again and for the club to start looking. But it is a forum where facts are a rarely given.
Oh how wrong you are, I will leave it at that. believe what you want
