Yeah not sure Stredwick is leaving mate. They will be fine and can understand why Hemala, Watson, McConnell moved on as they have done their time at the highest metro level and gave their all. Some good juniors they are looking to promote I believe plus a few incoming recruits. Off course Watson difficult to replace but Hemala and McConnell leaving create opportunities for younger players to play that type of midfield role..

You suggesting the EDFL is the highest metro level?
Watson going to play a higher level.
Just accept good players are leaving because they hate the coach, fact.

Deer Park showing government what a big build really looks like. Hearing Goater & Morrish or the book ends as they are known are going to be back in 25. Holy smoke if people think the tobacco wars are the biggest news across the Northern suburbs then the news hounds better reprogram their gps's quick smart. Wait what did I just say!.

Quick and Smart, wouldn’t get too excited Longblow. Is Lachlan Smart enough to realise he doesn’t have to leave each club he hops to so Quick? See what I did there! ;)

If Deer Park ever spend some cash on an astute footy manager that can build a list over 2-3 years with their budget they could be a powerhouse for years, but they won’t, they will continue the revolving door of local mercenaries and get nowhere.

Let me guess The Longblow

Jong is leaving his junior club because he loves Deer Park? Hill is leaving his junior club because he loves Deer Park?

Quick and Smart chased money at EK, the money dried up there and they’ve returned to Deer Park for the love of the game?

Enjoy your sugar hit of chasing mercenaries, you’ll need more than that to be successful in the EDFL!

I reckon there trophy cabinet tells us otherwise. Do there players get looked after obviously no doubt, but l don't see too many disgruntled playing there. Winning flags helps and that's what everyone wants atany level. So jog on and worry about improving your own irrelevant club.
Everyone plays on the same points.

Have a great day.....👍

This is Essendon District and that’s what we are talking about, you’ve won a B grade to date. Comp is just too strong for Deer Park to try buy their way to success. My “irrelevant” club won’t be troubling the finals in the near future but has won 18 of them in the EDFL 👍

Everyone rants about Keilor. Please remind me how many flags have they won in the past 20 years?

And when they win their flags by developing home grown juniors instead of buying players with $$$

And when they are coached by a coach who clearly could be coaching at a higher level if he wanted to be
You can't buy points though so what's actual your point here. All clubs have the same points on offer to recruit upon. If they offer more cash so be it. Most clubs would be on or over the salary hence why the points system was introduced.

Arrived back in Melbourne Friday for the Derby and going to the cup tomorrow. Thought I’d shake things up in the bigfooty community by announcing the Whisp’s tip for tomorrow. In honor of my student, Mighty Mick, I will be throwing the house on 5.Kovalica in honor of Mick’s 5 premierships at Keillor. Have a good day.

Attached is the parma I ate as I wrote this post, gotta bloody love a longgggggg weekend. 99 years and kicking.

You do know mick poaches every junior that’s half decent from rival clubs. Can’t consider them home grown

I think there's the feel they'll develop better at keilor and why juniors go there. Then one parent think if that kids going to keilor, my sons just as good so I'll send him too. Does mick still coach a junior team? Look at keilor reserves too, right up.there, the kids don't leave.

I'd love to see edfl clubs play off 35 points. If it's good enough for the ovens and murray premiers it should be for metro footballers. Deer Park wouldn't know what a home grown junior looked like. If the points system is tightened up you don't need a salary cap. If your playing under 19s your good enough to be full time in the ones
