Epping look alright against Doutta stars last week, just show you how far the stars will behind greenvale this year.Doutta play spotwood and were 4 goals down going into the last term and got up by 2 goals.Douttas have a long way to go yet.

I went and watched Douttas v Spotswood on the weekend and would have to say that the stars are seriously lacking in height as they have been for many years.Carey and Davidson are class acts and are about 6,2" and 6,4" respectively and Philpot is 6,6" and other then those 3 i couldnt find any other talls.Maybe they weren't playing or they are injured or they dont have em im not sure  can anyone shed some light?

I would say they in terms of small/mid size players they would have to have some of the best going around,Hollow,Docherty,Ramsay,Laverede,Morris,Turner and the list goes on,didnt see Tankard playing though???They will run some teams off there feet and on there day will kick 20+ goals but unless they have some other talls in hiding they might struggle to go all the way.

I think its Tom Davidsons brother, long haired guy who played full back he was undersized but done a very good job on what i have been told is a very dangerous full forward at Spotty and looks to be a very good player but i think it would be hard for him to play there every week due to lack of size.

So i would say in need of a Ruckmen and atleast 2 other tall key posistion players(CHB and FB) but i guess all clubs would love to have 4-6 gun talls :D well i guess some have ;)

WAXY :thumbsu:

nicolo, dorazio's bros, neeson are average small man who are inconsistent, ya can only have one of them in your team if your any chance of a flag in the EDFL, need couple of better marking options. i even heard that from ppl from the stars.. brendon goerge will be handy for doutta if he can get fitter and tougher and take em on, he will get a game in there half forward line i think, good player...

I think the EDFL should delay the season until July, the grounds are to green at the moment. *uck heads.

It was well spoken about at the time.... No benefit was to be gained by delaying the season by one week.... Now all we get out of it is NO LONG WEEKEND!!!! Good on the league for not folding and delaying it a month like some but a week was a waste of time.

Port Colts...hope Adam has told the boys to pack the 3 essentials...

1. Mouthguard
2. Hanky
3. Note from mum if unavailable

Club will supply the smelling salts....and stretchers...(plural)

How many canvas backs will we see....
Ports motto...."We'll smack em..you stack em"

Go Colts....

Stammy,

Please advise Right On.Drebster,Fleshman and anyone else interested to attend the Keilor City Oval on Thursday Night.
Be early as i heard from the Spotty trainer the VTCA are taking all Club Runner Up photos before Daryl gets on a Carribean bound Kite.:)

Thanks for the support sammy, but the above whilst funny, is a little of the mark. Port will feild 25-30 blokes ranging from second year 18's to half of their senior side. Expect no fire works and a competitive workout at best.:thumbsu:

Ohhh...come on obe1...hows about a melee in the crowd...or maybe just a quiet shooting behind the sheds...lets get into the spirit of the game...it is Keilor!!.... but then again there's no history between you and them....so lets create some...

we(port colts) played keilor in a practice game 2 years ago in a night match at keilor and it was was played in good spirits with both sides getting a good hit out before the start of the season, i'm sure if the keilor football club thought we were a bunch of thugs they wouldn't let us back

Went past the Abers game on sat and they looked very good some of the new players looked sharp up forward and down back.. thoughts? will they be up there?
Also a major player was in the middle for abers runs with the number 19 stockie little bloke goes by the name of JD.. is he back from perth to play with abers this year... thoughts?
Will there be a backline this year to stop Mckee, Shepard, Edwards and Runnels floating in there... thoughts?

daryl brown, ex west indian cricketer, has been at keilor c.c for 3 years.

If Douttas are so short on talls maybe The Drebster can make a comeback. Drebster I'm sure you have a few old school tricks up your sleeve, but beware all you young upstarts because the Drebs is not scared to cut a lunch and does need extra space in the showers for his potatoe sack sized scrotum

Wouldn't think they'll be any closer than last year. Keilor GV SM and Douttas have all recruited above what they had last year, maybe SM lost a couple bu they had a few to spare last year, let's be honest. The days of recruiting one big name midfielder and hanging your hat on that are well gone!! You need four or more gun midfielders, along with the fwds and backs to go with them of course. Yes there is at least 2-3 backlines that will stop that fwd line, but it will more likely be the midfield battle that stops that fwd line from scoring.........;)

JD or Jason Dennis as he is known is still in WA I believe. The numbers worn during the practice match were not the official ones. The allocation list is now on the club website. Player No.19 is named Mark Worthington. He played last year but did not appear in Saturday's practice match against Yarraville Seddon.

Final Score? Abers 23.12 def. Y/Seddon 6.8

Any truth in the rumour Charlie Pardo's converted his garage into an oven and his wife backs a tandem trailer with the nights meatloaf (Charlies Favourite) into it??

Im gathering by those comments that Chaz had been in a good paddock? Very good player in his day.Mmmmmmmmmmm meatloaf :thumbsu: Waxy likes meatloaf.
