Hey Starboy, you seem to believe you know everything...please do tell about how ek burnt peter baxter years ago?????

Starboy will maribyrnong park be trying to buy the b grade flag next year?
I think the money should go to the juniors instead of buying these overpaid players that dont perform come the business end of the season.
Glen take note please: Play the kids they are future of the club, if not you are not wanted.

You were quick to stick up for him a couple of weeks back, they dont win the flag and you want to cut his balls off. A typical example of someone that gets to vote for what goes on in this country.
By the way what kids is he going to play in front of the players that played in the grannie??
Your 18's got pumped week after week!!!!!!

Marby do a great job with the juniors. They had an under 10 team in the finals and are building. They need time.
Hey Starboy, you are becoming the "guru" of the EDFL with everyone asking for your opinion. Obviously a man of knowledge.

Mate lam far from a guru lam just telling it as l hear it..........

Starboy, quite the contrary, I am not from EK but I do know Peter and it is little fools like yourself that get on these type of forums and talk absolute crap......

If you want to have any credibility at all have the courage of your convictions to back up your wild accusations of people and clubs or just go away and hide back in your little hole....

You have very little knowledge of many things from what I have read so either put up or shut up!!!!!!

In regards to my breaking news about Zoo, i think its safe to say he just had enough of all the conflict that happened half way thru the year, and he had his mind made up that he wasn't going to continue on flag or not.

Well if you do know Peter YOU should agree that he would be mad to come from A grade to B's...........Like l said you sod its what lve heard not what lve made up you fool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starboy, of course its what you've heard!!!! You just continue on in your own little world and try and impress peope on here with your lack of knowledge.

You blame EK COACHES and board for their current plight, if you knew anything at all you would know that the finger should be pointed at the outgoing senior coach and the so called football manager that put together this years side!!!!!

You must know alot about footy 'you superstar' ,who was the one who named the coach .........you would have to be that type of supporter who at his non playing life and more so dont know much about the game, get on this site trying to impress his fellow mates at EK about how much knowledge you wish you had known about the game............now you are that type of a supporter not only of this game but any game that would point the finger at the coach whom has his back turned and walking away ....you are only a poor sorry lost ****er who is that d#*khead that claims to know alot...........now that the footy is over you can stop drinking tinnys at the far end of EK's ground and piss off you jerk...........lam sorry that l stopped you having another drink!!!!!!

Again Starboy you have got it all wrong, I dont need to impress anyone and I don't profess to be an expert but I do know that too many people like your goodself get on these forums and talk crap about things that are untrue.

Just stick to the facts, and by the way I don't drink tinnys at any ground let alone EK's.

Now now Starboy and Sugark, settle it down. No need to get personal. What we need on this forum is constructive criticism or appraisal. I must admit with Starboy that the blame for EK's poor performance cannot be directed only at the coach and player manager. The committee must take a lot of the responsibility. We don't know what really happened at EK this year. Maybe the player budget that the player manager and coach had was a B Grade budget...maybe players didn't want to stay because they could see there was poor support from up top. Maybe player payments the previous year were not honoured. Only those at EK would know. A committee can be tired and therefore not perform well. The reappointment of a coach who may have overstayed his effectiveness at the club is clearly a fault of the committee. This can be put down to being easier for the committee than having to find a new coach. So I suppose sometimes the blame can be laid on others rather than at the coach and player manager. A lot of clubs go through cycles. The thing for EK now is to try to turn it around a.s.a.p. Even a good strong committee would need 5 years to do this. A weak committe will take even longer or never reach A grade again. With the changing face of the EDFL (high running costs for A grade clubs) the gap between A and B grade is bigger than ever. Some clubs may be better off being B grade clubs with long term survival rather than extinct former A grade clubs.

Based on the relegation and promotion system, clubs from B grade do come up. The key is to come up and be competitive. Take West Coburg for instance, they were clearly in the top two in B grade. For them not to repeat there last couple of stints in A grade where they returned to B grade quickly, they will need to attract about five or 6 quality players. This can be hard for a club to do because the player budget required is far greater.

True what you saying in the past, but then again there was Greenvale and Doutta Stars won B grade premership and won the A grade prewmership the next year to go back to back

GV didn't win it first year up like DS in '99. Huge changes in the past 5 years or so. Would be a huge effort these days to do the double.

There was a very good article written by the then president of Doutta Stars when they returned to A grade stating that the trip back to A grade is a 5 year exercise. Let's not forget that we are talking about the most successful club in the history of the EDFL. I would say that DS and GV would have had the second and third highest player budgets in the EDFL with the fourth club way behind. DS is traditionally an A grade club and the new Greenvale is now firmly established in A grade. The only reason they were in B grade is because they were a new emerging club that had to work through B grade first.

I am not saying that it is impossible to return to A grade and be successful, I'm just saying that when a club like EK falls out of A grade with a big thud, needing a new committee, having no president, no coach, inadequate players, they need a white knight on a BIG horse to get back or a fresh group (six or more) of volunteers to regroup.

My friend ,you would fine that Doutta Stars was the only side to win B grade and then the next year A grade.
