Thanks rusty

Kangas would be really feeling the pinch

I hear the giants have a few roo boys lined up, including one big top 5 player
They've taken 8 but half will be replaced by returning 1 pointers anyway. Whilst it's making the club bleed, it's also good for the coaches and committee to see what the players actually want. It's time for them to react now. It's very obvious when players leave in droves. I was speaking to a player in the leadership group and it's definitely been noted.

I'm sure there are reasons for why the group of young players left, but the cash on offer makes their issues turn into movement.

Glenroy beat them late in the year, Haddy should have beaten them the first time. Had half a team out. Any suggestion Westy are that much better than either of them is delusional.
Light and day over a full 2024 season! 2025 could be a completely different story for many teams. Top 4 will be very interesting. EDFL C grade becoming the best Div in the comp in terms of its competitiveness?

Khoder Taleb officially signed at Hadfield. Northern players told of the news last night. Heading back to his junior club at the hawks.

Grapevine says they are offering far more than they have or can afford .
Why not , Beever dont care if they go broke , he has no connection to them at all except they named him coach this year .
Go for it

I think if you knew the facts you’d be shocked at how little he is playing for. A loyal and quality person now giving back to his junior club. Best of luck Khoder. Be sad not to see you at Mutton Reserve going forward.

Hadfield gone hard, must question the age of the recruits though. Have a very good 18s which we saw winning the flag.

However majority of recruits this year are early to mid 30s, not sustainable if do have some success.

Great to see them on the rise though !

Good on the hawks . Taleb is a statement signing . Got a strong mature group of seasoned senior footballers . There time is now . Pollizi, Pell, gliesner bros , Wallace and co who are haddy juniors won’t be playing for much longer . They deserve some success as haddy ppl .

good on daddy for signing its current crop, I reckon they will be found out against young fit sides on big grounds, old legs will never keep up with young fit legs

The only concern is it reeks of a club going all in to win a div 2 flag, what happens when go up to div 1 and they lose 6-7 senior guys? Similar thing happened in 2015 and it ruined the club.

Have a good 16s and 18s this time around, however that is not enough and can’t just rely on it. It is great to see them back up and running again I just hope they have a short and long term strategy.

Hadfield will be strong in 2025, especially at home where it’s tight and contested.

So, they've got quality veterans leading the way & solid juniors developing beneath.
It sounds as though they've got less to worry about than a lot of other clubs.
