just clubs rabbled with injuries and players overseas, all filters down to thirds even, but yes no coincidence that both have been against Keilor
No club wants to forfeit but reality is if you're going to do it might as well be against Keilor. Go in under manned against them and you will get thumped(probably get well beaten anyway). Your club get's nothing out of the game(other than the players who do stand up and play become more dis-illusioned), so if you have to forfeit , might as well be against them. Some will say that's weak, ect. ect.. , but the EDFL as a whole is that stuffed now(and last 10 years) with only 3 clubs(plus Pacco with their 3 big backers) a chance in A Grade & Reserves and Keilor havn't last a 3rds game in 3 years!

You think the EDFL is stuffed now. Wait till the change of Chairman at the AGM.

At what stage was the game called off in the 2qtr between EK & Keilor reserves? EK played with 14, apart from Pride in fielding a team(albit it only 14), I can't see why they didn't forfeit. Those 14 poor blokes who ran out for EK were just witches hats for a Keilor training run , why give Keilor the satisfaction of playing a game?

Agree as both Eastern and Northern top sides are probably stronger than edfl due to the stronger competition.
They would beat both sides comfortably with their best side in. They best Heidelberg preseason by 10 goals and had plenty missing.

A bloke who follows Blackburn in Eastern League watched Keilor against Pascoe Vale and said they would beat most sides comfortably in Eastern League.

Probably their bottom 6 players are just better than most other leagues bottom end.

Keilor only had 17 players, they agreed to play 14 v 14, match called off at half time as EK had an injury and weren't able to put 14 on the field (which is the minimum) for the second half. Good on them both for making a game happen, even if it had to be aborted.
