It's not entirely about who said what, it's also about a bunch of men casually discussing what they would do with a woman they don't like. Not the worst example of it's type, but nevertheless an example....a bad one.
I've gotta say, Vicky Park did well to put up with this thread as long as she did, with this cavalcade of posters dismissing her outrage as excessive sensitivity, not to mention the smattering of misogynist epithets as if the discussion of Ed's misogyny was an invitation to join in!

Here's a real dose of misandry which caused barely a ripple in the media. All of these women are still working in the industry and they remain popular and in demand.




If any panel of men had made comments like this about the REAL LIFE mutilation of a woman I would be at the front of the line demanding they never work in the media again. Again- why do we keep ignoring genuine hatred of a gender (almost always the male gender) in our mainstream media whilst confecting outrage over silly off the cuff jokes or banter which at best could be considered poor taste?

It's been close to 20years in the top job. There's no doubt he's done wonders for the club as a business, for player facilities and welfare.

But with the Buckley debacle and constant foot and mouth enough is enough and it's time for a change. It's time for Eddie to do one job and shut up
