Rapt with this pick. Bit of X with the speed and height and limited games adds to the intrigue of him having that high ceiling. Someone to get a bit excited by. Wouldnt mind Keeler tomorrow to round out excitment potential.
Add in George and Van Es to that and I reckon we've got the quaddie. Hope we go balls to the wall

Happy with this.

Size, speed, finds the ball…

Only concern is the go home factor with WA kids

With Macrae, McInness, Carmichael and now Allen… there’s a (hopefully fertile) crop of developing mids coming through in the twos

Welcome Ed 👍

Lol. This is my fear, another Hine tweener that doesn't pan out.. Hope my fears are looked back with laughter in future years but my first thought was another Poulter
Poulter a one sided left footer who really only suited to wing. He is dual sided and looks like he is getting stronger. Hopefully start him on a wing but has potential to play loads of positions.

Sorry. I made an error there. His dad's cousin (they are close like brothers), lives in Melbourne and was Head of Research Goldman Sachs.

PMBangers I note you didn't have him in your top 40 (correct me if I'm wrong). What's the knock on him in your opinion?
He only played 6 games due to a back injury so he was somewhat hidden. But it only took one colts game for him to be named in the state squad. We got a good one here. WC fans will not be happy they missed out on him in a few short years.

I am very impressed by Ed's highlights.

I know this is a curated package and there is a lot of water to pass under the bridge, however, there are three things that stand out -

1. he is very confident/decisive which I think is one of the most important traits to make it at the top level
2. disposal by hand and foot (on both sides) is creative, tidy and precise
3. he shows glimpses of serious athletic ability. if he applies himself, he has the potential to be elite

He actually reminds me of a taller and faster Sidebottom which is very high praise.

Just watched the SA vs WA champs game which seems like the only game he played in the tournament. This kid ran a top 5 of all time 20 metre sprint time, but you wouldn't know it watching him, apart from one play where he took a few bounces and looked decently paced. Just isn't evident in his a game yet. Although, he did continually find space on his opponent (and wasn't used a few times).

He played on a wing and didn't do a heap, but a couple of really nice passes on the run shows is kicking is up to scratch. He's an interesting player, really long body, is key position size but isn't present in marking contests so I didn't get to see how he marks overhead.
Played really outside and didn't seem like a contested ball winner but moves bloody well for his size. It's hard to get a grip on what he is exactly. It may take a while for him to find his niche and develop aspects of his game, he's coming from a fair way back with his injury and late development, so there's a lot there to work with, but a wait and see at this stage.
