Last week we had an increase of:
747

During this period previous years we had an increase of:
2013 - 870
2012 - 192
2011 - 1,067

Any idea how long it took us to get to our 56,??? tally last year.
Synth is the go to man for all statistical trends associated with this.

I actually don't have the exact date but it was late in the season well after June/July.

We're trending to hit our record membership late next week (which puts us months ahead of last year).
Expect a big announcement just prior to ANZAC Day.

56,167 today.

Last year's total was 56,314 according to Synth's graph.

By next week we, therefore, will have overtaken last year's total and thus recorded our largest ever membership total.

Well done. :thumbsu:

I was excited till I saw that buying a Digital Pass is included in the membership numbers. That should be excluded from the the tally.

Other clubs count pet rocks and whatnot.

Yep, our club joins the list of fudged figures.. so in essence it is the same members as last year (maybe less) but it looks more because we are included a reduced package.

Overall it is still a good result though.

From the Age article on Carlton wanting to move to the MCG:

In 2013, we had:
  • 29,576 adult game members
  • 5,647 concession game members
  • 7,391 children game members
  • 13,559 non-access members.
From that:

- Relative low number of game members (42,614), lower than Collingwood, Richmond, Carlton, Hawthorn - and just more than Geelong
- Huge number of non-access members (2nd most after West Coast).
- Moderate number of children members.
