I hate AFLX as much as anyone, but it’s being made a bit of a scapegoat here. If you’re expecting a game with two teams going flat out both with and without the ball, try one of the other 207 AFL games or countless local games every year. The EJ whitten game isn’t, never has been, and never will be that. It would be no different if it was played under normal rules and the last 10 years of it is proof.

Don’t think anyone is expecting a pressure filled match but at least the EJ games usually have some long kicking that creates some contests. This is just ultra contrived lane work.
