The high draft pick who is struggling at their current club has to be the biggest trade trap in the game.
Hit or miss - Jack Scrimshaw at the hawks suggests if you get it right it's a bargain.
I'd argue Essendon are well in front with Peter Wright too.

Then again, there is Toumpas /Trengove etc

For the Essendon fans, why hasn't he kicked on as yet?
He lacks size to be a inner ball winning midfielder.
He gets pushed around off the ball. Doesn't tackle effectively or enough.
Played on the wing, isn't fast enough, can't kick accurate. It isn't his preferred position though.

All of these things point towards how young the guy is, both physically and skill wise. We aren't in a rush to put him in the side. Let him develop in the 2s. If all we get is 2-3rd rounder for him, pointless to trade him out.

Simply we aren't North or WestCoast right now bleeding young players, season after season losing most games.

Potential late bloomer?
IIRC Parish took a few years to find his feet and now he's an absolute ball magnet

Can you name the young players WCE and North are bleeding? The only young player we lost was JHF.

I think he will be alright in time. He's a shocking kick now but so was Jobe Watson. Jobe never became a surgeon with his footskills but he at least went from a liability ball in hand to reliable.
Does Tsatas have the hunger to do the same?

Going too early on this kid either way.

Signs aren’t great, but he deserves a clean run at it before people start stamping his papers.

He’s not worth what Essendon would want for him to leave so a trade would be nearly impossible to manufacture

Young player - high draft pick - playing VFL = leaving.

Slow news day - they need to get the clicks up.

The amateur website Zero Hangar made a suggestion that Tsatas should be on Richmond’s wish list.
Jay Clarke has got wind of it as his own followers lap it up and now we are here

Was genuinely a nothing article previously reprised by Cal Twomey with a throw away line in a Gettable podcast few weeks back

Parish was best 22 in his first season though.
Wasn't 2016 an 'outlier' of a year though? May not have played 20 games in a regular team/year under normal conditions.

IIRC Parish spent a few years playing 'ok' then exploded in 2021 (?). Sometimes players just 'click'. Just trying to work out if that will happen with Tsatas

Probably would have played over half the games.

Not sure what all the doom and gloom in here is about.

He's 19 with a frame he will grow into over the next couple years that will allow him to play his best position (on ball) rather than the wing where we have forced him to play in the seniors in order to get some AFL exposure.

His last 5 weeks at VFL level as an inside mid.

31 Disposals, 6 Clearances
32 Disposals, 7 Clearances
34 Disposals, 14 Clearances
31 Disposals, 10 Clearances
38 Disposals, 11 Clearances

It’s his kicking where the doom and gloom is. Any player getting those numbers will play AFL - unless you can’t kick.
