Absolutely thrilled. I’ll admit, I didn’t give them a chance and they showed up.

Overcame the big stage issues, threw the monkey off the back.

Gittery moments but just so much heart and effort.

The change ups to our stale line up, forced and unforced, seemed to just give us a different look and feel. The lighter legs saw us get to more contests.

Lachie - superhuman, Wilmot - poise, joe - joe, the boys covering O. Best game McStay has ever played.

One of the best wins I’ve experienced, after everything we’ve been through over the last 2 weeks, to overcome adversity and deliver. Incredible.

Zorks leads from the front with no BS. Fages, enjoy, you deserve it.

Not loving the digs at Lyons.

AND…. I am going to inject tiger tears INTO MY VEINS for a week, cocky pricks, the footy gods were watching.

Go lions!

A comeback win for the ages. 16pts down 23 minutes into the third, to snatching the lead with a minute to go. How good was that. Despite injuries, we can go deep into the finals this year. Bring on next week.
Saying before the game we not came back against a side when they get a few goals ahead.
Port only team we done from being goals down in the third all year.

So great fantastic win.

Just finished watching the game. Mrs3KZ bought Theatre tickets so it was off to the Arts Centre in St.Kilda rd. Recorded the footy, turned off my phone (stacks of texts backed up) and watched the game. What a win! I. Imagine there were melts a plenty and brain explosions all round in the match thread, but in the end I think we will bank this win. Neale was stunning, Bailey played a blinder, Dev played an unreal shut down game and then bobbed up for a goal, Mathieson was a machine in tight in the last quarter, forwards fired Daniher was his mercurial best, Charlie deadly and Eric was dangerous, Berry was brilliant, Prior keeps his spot, as should Ah Chee. Starcevich was solid and Coleman stepped up.

Seriously… watching the replay and the commentators saying the appeal for the deliberate rush was ‘going a foot down leg’. He took the ball outside the 10m then handballed it through. We were robbed a 20 point win. * em
i think they allow it as when he disposed it he was technically within 9m.

Is there an elephant in the room;)

Joe did a lot wrong tonight but when we needed him at the end of the 3rd and the last he got us over the line. He did his usual flops but FWIW I actually think he was in the marking contest when Linc marked it so probably justice he got the chance for the sealer.

There was a 10 minute period there where he very clearly decided “okay I’m gonna take a speccy” and tried it like 3 times in a row lol

That umpire that called in the back on daniher, should never umpire a game again

Idk if it was the same umpire, but Linc had two other F50 marks that were called as play on for seemingly no reason.

The first one he clearly controlled it before the Richmond player punched it out.

Tough night for him

Back home from The Gabba now and just finished reading the 10 pages so far

I could not believe we lost a key position player in the first 5 minutes of a final AGAIN
Oscar our only ruck gone when the scoreline read Lions 0.0.0 to Tigers 0.0.0
This is the 3rd final in a row we had lost a KPP very early in the first quarter
The Footy Gods were not on our side early. Not so much later either

Neale as most have mentioned was awsome. But the team got the job done in the end
Neale had 15 clearances which was 1 shy of the all time finals record of 16
He will get a serious hard tag next week

The atmosphere at The Gabba was amazing. Admission price worth every cent
Their were 17 lead changes
The 17th being Daniher sealing a win for Lions with his big toe connecting with the ball for a goal

Their were many many many instances in this game that could have changed the result
But it looks like the media will concentrate on just one.
Which is sad but i doubt any Lions supporters or players will give a toss

Lots of the crowd stayed until the players left the field
The crowd was asked to sing the song one last time before players leave, and they did so with gusto

What an unbelievable backs against the wall win.

Sometimes you wonder why we get so emotionally invested in a football team, but nights like tonight make it worthwhile.

Lachie Neale - you bloody champion!

I honestly thought the tigers would win after Oscar got concussed early in the game.

Nankervis absolutely dominated the ruck yet we still found a way to win. McStay in the ruck was massive tonight. Threw his body into many contests and will be bloody sore tomorrow.

Neale played one of the best finals you will ever see. He was unstoppable tonight. You could see the determination on his face. He just did not want to lose. There were moments there where he carried the team on his back. Incredible game.

McCluggage and Bailey were terrific tonight - real character building games by these young men. Absolutely busted their guts. Future leaders of the club.

Typically it has become more about Richmond losing than the Lions winning - which we all suspected would be the case.

Amazing the AFL doesn't get into these media outlets to at least try to be impartial but like the AFL - they really dont care about biases.

The conspiracy theorists on the tiggy board truly think the AFL have it in for them. The vicbias is plain to see for anyone else. Why tiger fans would think the AFL would want to scupper a big Vic club in favour of a Northern "minnow" is baffling. Logical minds would think the AFL would've done the opposite, assuming there was any sort of conspiracy. Which of course there is not. Glad our fanbase does not possess that level of entitled crazy.

Mcstay was incredible
As for McStay - Heart in the mouth stuff all match…BUT CLEARLY THE BEST GAME OF HIS CAREER. CLEARLY. We’ll done Dan! HUGE PERFORMANCE!

I think your poll is broken, I couldn't choose Lachie Neale 5 times.
Played a game for the ages and willed your team over the line right up to the final siren.

The only downside from this is no team is going to leave him to his own devices going forward. Damien Hardwick learnt the hard way that letting him run free is season ending. Oof.

McCluggage was another one who stood out.

Fantastic game and well done on the win.

Now, I haven't seen the game yet due to being at work but from what I'm hearing Lachie was free to do his thing. I'm baffled as to why the tigers had no one on him? Clearly those entitled conspiracy theorist ****s have not been watching any of our games bcos Lachie is our midfield King. I'm glad they weren't bright enough to tag him but still? How do you not think you have to tag a brown low medallist who has easily been one of our best for most of the year??!!?!
