I thought Zorks whilst not massively influential, was good and was focused on the footy and not the niggle. Good response after having the blowtorch on him for a week.
Agree, Zorks had some elite moments and played well overall. Also thought Harris played really well, a couple of those Tom Lynch leads/marks no KPD in the competition is going to stop, most on here are not fans of Lynch but he is one hell of a mark and set shot.... except when he goes the banana from 10 meters:D.

Surprised we didn't get a noise complaint with all the yelling that was coming out of my mouth last night.

Best game in years. I genuinely haven't felt this elated in months - monotony broken. Love these boys so much, and that Wilmot goal was incredible.

Mcstay had a wonderful game, truly great. But his performance last week was lacklustre and more in line with his home and away season average. And the disparity between last night and that is evident. I really hope he has just a great finals series as he has the power to influence as shown last night

That was McStay’s best performance in a lions jumper. Super effort in the ruck, clutch goal and his follow up work was huge around stoppage
I know only one game but does it show that we are/could be a better side with a smaller forward line and a more mobile ruck?

Hard to read too much into that honestly because of course his numbers are going to go up when he’s thrust into the main ruck role vs playing as a forward.

Obviously he had a great game and was probably second best on ground for us, but it’s not as simple as looking at the numbers and saying “why can’t he do that in the regular season”

Watched the game on TV so was wondering what % of the crowd do you think were Tiges. They made plenty of noise. Bit weird when ur captain gets loudly booed at ur home game lol.

you are right, its a little bit of apples and oranges, but thought it showed that we could be excused for thinking we can get a few more disposals, clearances and tackles out of him each week at least. The most important part is that I wish him a good finals series and again what a wonderful game it was by him

Just wanted to say great game last night from your mob and regardless of the controversial finish of the score review which I still have no idea was it a goal or point? Who the F knows Lynch acted like he missed Andrews acted like it was a goal. I really hope that doesn't take away from the performance of your club last night and the game that Neale played. He was a beast gave our midfield a lesson big time.

It was one of the best finals games in a long time. Both teams scored over 100 and the margin never really got beyond 2 kicks the entire game. I know we lost but I can easily cop that and much rather watch those games of footy than 55 vs 70 results that are dour.

I thought you guys were stiff when McCarthy had the mark taken away from him late anyway would would have put you in front.

All the best for next week and hopefully beyond and a big shout out to your club for the respect they gave Shedda at the end of the game.

McStay was the match winner last night, his follow up was awesome. His body strength against Nank was unbelievable. Maybe he's one of those players that needs to be in the game all the time rather than sitting in the goal square waiting. I so hope he stays with us.

After going brain dead and missing the Members' ticket allocation last week, wife and I decided we'd just stay at home and watch it on TV.

"We're pretty much buggered and will probably lose anyway" I informed better half

Then yesterday, due to happenstance too complicated to relate here, we got offered two free tickets in Section 421 , Row GG, which I knew would be bloody good seats.

So along we go tonight, only to find ourselves amongst a nest of Tigers supporters.

Being pessimistic about the outcome and in theses circumstances, I decided to be as unemotional and detached as I possibly could be. Don't dare to get your hopes up I kept saying to myself. Keep your head down. Just sit and wait for the inevitable loss

Then our boys keep hanging in there. Despite this, at a few crucial points we almost look gone and I kept thinking "oh well, I"ll be put out of my misery pretty soon and better that than a heartbreak loss by less than a goal at the death.

In front, behind, in front, behind....glorious goals followed by silly errors leaking back the other way

AAARGH!!!!

I can't stand it

I've seen this movie before and I know how it ends.

I'm immensely proud of them but when Lynch looks like he's kicked the sealer, I almost breathe a sigh of relief.

Then it's not a goal!

Oh no!

Here comes hope again, which will surely be dashed in the usual cruel fashion.

Then we get it up the other end and that beautiful enigma going by the name of Joe Daniher does a Joe thing and pulls a miracle goal out of his beautiful arse and now I am in agony again.

A minute to go!

Back to the centre.

Here we go again. Don't dare to hope

I wait for inevitable last gasp Tigers goal which I have already conditioned myself NOT to get heartbroken over

But our boys do something really weird.

They literally throw themselves at the ball, total commitment , total belief and we drive it forward, Lions jumpers coming from everywhere, refusing to yield. Richmond get it free in their back half.....here it comes.... a lighting transition and they win.

But the the siren sounds!!!!

We've won and I can't contain my utter joy and I bellow out

"F*** YEAH!!!!!"

In that nest of Richmond supporters.

Fair play to them too. They let me have my moment of glory !!

Thank you Brisbane Lions for one of the best, most gutsy and heart and soul wins I've ever had the privilege to witness

That's an all in post - love it.

You need to write more previews

I thought Starce was very shakey with ball in hand. Slow, caught with the ball, skill errors. He's got to keep producing.
Well done. You can sleep well tonight knowing you are my 1st ever to go on the ignore list. Your trolling with Daniher and now this F**K me! Congrats & goodbye.

What a game hey.
The booing for Zorko, yeah that was just wrong at the Gabba, really wrong, bit shocked how many there were tbh.
And yes it felt like earlier in the game their noise was louder when they scored, so hence my voice today is a bit sketchy.
Seemed like maybe there were more Tiger supporters bit hard to say, could be their yellow is so bright it stands out.
Full credit to us, all Lions fans though, we drowned them out when we scored after that earlier feeling of being invaded by another species.

Before the game was feeling confident , but also worried with how Gardiner and harris was going to go.
Not sure on Dizzy's game , think it was not too bad, Harris on the other hand , Gee he was at his best , and he had to be.
Rich definetly getting close to the end , fell over a few times in the chase , kind of shows his aging legs a bit.
Still think he is still 100% required this year and next , with next year getting overtaken with fresher faces.

How was Wilmot's goal, he looked so shakey walking in for the kick and then Wow Wee goes straight through the middle.
Classy game by both sides , what a game to finish on at he Gabba for the year, so glad I sucked the Melbourne game up and went, so proud of the boys fight, talk about intense.
Hmm thinking about going to Sydney if we play them next week. Probably a $1000 to get there at the end of the day, would be awsome to go.

Lets hope this result is the catalyst to bigger and better things. A good win up against so much adversity. I didn't believe we could do it tbh.

Lachie Neale played like a skipper last night and Hugh McLuggage is next level.

Was McStays performance also a sign that he now wants to stay?

Is there actually noise regarding Dev wanting to leave?
watching McStay‘s work around the stopagges I was thinking maybe we had a big body midfielder all along but didn’t realise it.

sensational game. I gave votes to Neale, McStay and McCluggage, and then could have Picked any other two players.
