Sorry sneako but your kidding yourself. Wadey doesn't tag anyone. He may have gone to be his direct opponent but he certainly wasn't tagging your brother. Neither was Slattery.

WhenIwasyoung, I beg to differ on one point there. If the vote count is fair dinkum the coach will win comfortably. Wadey should finish top 3 though, along with DK.

Urie was beaten against Cora Lynn also by Chad Ingram and Tim Payne. They put him 2nd or 3rd best for NNS.

The top 50 seems very thrown together with not much thought.

Interesting and definately something to talk about.. here are a few thoughts.

Wade-Good player but not top 10
Sheen should have been ahead of Luke James & Mal Michael
Kennedy, R.Brown, Ben Miller much to high shouldve been in 40's maybe
Muirhead & Chris Jones ---- No
Jack Allen shouldve been in the 20's at least

I havnt seen enough Nilma Games but would Mal be in top 3 B & F papa & goodie... give me your estimated top 5??

Interesting comments there scottie. Are you a little upset you were ranked so far down the list?

bigpapa, I'd have Phil Smith as my number one. Bergles, Sheen and Williams top 5 as well.

I did say Urie was a handy player, but he has never done anything when i've seen him play to suggest he's the best in the competition.

Call it what you like Tumble but when a midfielder goes to another midfielder at the stoppages and follows them around the ground I see it as a tag. In the case of Wade I can see your point though that he "played on him" rather than "tagged" as he does try to win his own ball at the same time.

As for Slattery I would have to call it a tag. When a bloke with the ability of a back pocket goes to the middle with the sole purpose of bumping someone and following them everywhere they go (without much effect) and not winning their own ball that has to be called a tag.

It may have come across as like that sneak but i can tell you its not the case. Slattery has been part of the midfield rotation all year long. He's got a little bit more talent than you might think too.

BTW, playing on someone in the middle isn't a tag. It's just being accountable. That's all Wadey was doing.

I cant see any reason wade would tag anyone, one of the best in the comp and i assume NNG was beating LL when this happened so why would any NNG player be tagging. Maybe they were told to be aware of someone and play accountable but thats different to a full on tag.

Travelled down to Catani yesterday and watched our boys have a crack for 3 quarters but must lift another 30% as some quality players sat out the last term.
Can anyone from Catani confirm the injuries to Smith, Bolding, James and Meade???????
Can't see Catani going very far without Smith and James rumoured to be out for 2-3 weeks respectively.
Even though James is a gun he'd be alot better if he stuck to playin footy instead of belting blokes.
We must capatalise on our opportunities this week and smash em while there vulnarable...
GO CROWS

Agree Chris Urie think Grant will take votes away from Attenborough
Poowong did win 8 games and lost another 5 or 6 by little with Attenborough & Grant clearly their best 2 players most weeks.
Would not be surprised if 16 votes will be enough to win
Thus could be a surprise winner
How about Ryan Davey from Cora Lynn even though missed games or Morgan from KWR although may give to much advise to the umps.

Yeah ok.

Seniors
1st Shane Brewster
2nd Justin Evans
3rd Chris Urie

Others - Clint Williams, Matt Wade, Tye Holland, Jamie Cann, Kane Martin, Ryan Davey

Reserves
1st Steve Hobson
2nd Daylight

Didnt worry me at all. Fair few people have commented on it but all in all its a top 50 list by Ken Moore. Most people have little/no respect for most of what he writes anyway.

Ha ha like it Scottie. Whilst I didn't agree with some of his top 50, i think he does a pretty good job overall. Big ask to cover 7 games a week and he gives something to read. Not many other local papers give the sports coverage that the gazette does.
