Just read the warragul gazzette and could not believe that it had rankings for the interleauge coming up this year and it had mid gippy comp ranked between Ellinbank and alberton what a joke both comps would make mid gippy look stupid.Even teams out side the 6 in both edfl and alberton would challenge top sides in mid gippy

Ellinbank is stronger than Mid Gippy, obviously.

But, Id say Alberton is on par, not much difference if you ask me.

It seemed the Dusties forward line last year cost them. With Santo and Ariki back they should be more dangerous. Kneebone will also play forward, but had a shocker year last year getting dropped from Drouin 1's, looked slow and heavy. Might get in Santo's way????? Charlesy will again be serviceable.

Stars picked up anyone yet??? Heard Tom Marsh heading up to Darwin after playing first couple rounds. Big loss!!!!
david scott smith has also been down at tarwin street in recent weeks. if fit, will be massive for the dusties. santo kneebone scott smith, with spud ingham / shane brewster resting, johnson and matijiwiki. pretty decent forward line to contend with, which they missed last season when santo went down.

im still thinking the dogs will be top 6 for sure this year. how many of the good young thirds have stayed at the club.
dusties will also have Pitt down forward at some stage also. He seems to be a forgotten player. He definately could cause probs with his height.

How would santo go in a forward line where he doesnt get it kicked to him all the time?

Anyone know why the clearances on the EDFL site are not up to date? I can only see to about the 10th of feb.

will be interesting to see how the dusties backline measures up this season. have they picked up any defenders???

will be even more interesting if local personality john "finny" finlays efforts to crack back into the dustoes team become fruitfull.

letters have been surfacing in local businesses garnishing support for his "railway to the kings arms" training run,

$5 in to state how long you think the finn will take to do his run from the railway hotel in warragul out to the kings arms in neerim south.

i hear he has also had an opportunity to show the dusties training group what he has t offer, apparently the ol finns tackling is right on the money.

all i can say is >>watch this space<<

Spoke to the man himself and he's keen as to have a kick for the Dusties already got spot he reckons. Probably a bit younger then some of the 2's blokes anyway eg Steve Haasz and Joey Williamson!!

Hi

I live in Melbourne and am playing footy up in the country this year and heard a rumour about a group of country players from different leagues training together at Gosch's Paddock in Richmond.
1. Is this true?
2. If so, can anyone train there?
3. What times do they train?

Cheers

As reported earlier Poowong have lost a good chunk of there top ten b&f placings from last year. Daniel Watson, ash Adams, cal o'hare all gone to Devon with Aust a real chance to follow. Mullins back to koo wee rup as well. Don't know how they are going to replace those guys. Esp Watson he can really play flogged us last year.

ellinbank will be very hard to beat this year, having matt robbo back plus the johnson boys ( mark and tom) the big lose will be jayson barwick out 4 the year he is a gun and goes in hard all the time

Heard that about ellinbank last year except they were puss. I don't think three players are going to make the diffeerence. Isn't one of the good ones returning got a dodgy knee.. Hmmm
