I read that he wanted to play for the Sydney Swans, but even if it were possible I'm not sure he'd be the type of player we'd need at the moment.

If Yarran is on Freo's radar, he may well also be on the Eagles?
That would throw a fox into the chicken yard!
If it happened, Yarran to the Eagles, who would Freo take, Naitanui or Rich?
dam no mention of who Port are likely going to draft at #4
it's rumoured that the recruiting staff rate Naita number 1. It's also well known that Harvs wants midfieldersIf Yarran is on Freo's radar, he may well also be on the Eagles?

Sorry, she's just someone who follows young talent for a living and you're a BigFooty poster.
She's obviously deluded....
Emma speaks to club recruiters all the time. She was at the DC. It is more than conceivable that she either spoke to someone at Freo, spoke to another club who were aware of what freo were thinking or she saw Harvey and Smart talking to Yarran for 40min outside under a tree.
and what motivation have any of the recruiters for telling Emma Quayle what they really think?

Unlike most journo's, Emma actually get's out there, and has a look at the kids, and also talks to the clubs. If she thinks a certain player might go to a particular club, it's likely to be because she has actually been given that information by someone who is in the know, or because she has asked the right question.
Most recruiters and coaches love to have a yarn. Obviously wont say "pick 4 we want X, pick 22 we want Y". Might just rattle off some names they are looking at. Which the journo could probably have guessed anyway.
But I think you'll find that people like Quayle and Matt Burgen dont get their info directly from recruiters but members of other clubs recruiting staff (who know what the other is thinking) who speak to players, junior coaches, families and thus know which club has been most interested in who.
Tyrone Vickory mentioned that he spent quite a bit of time talking to Choco. But so did alot of players I suppose, but it did seem strange that he singled out Choco. Possibly a longer interview then what other clubs gave him.
I like Emma Quayle as a journo, but why did she mention a ruckman could slip through to one of our Carlton's picks when we're after Warnock?
We may not land Warnock yet, depends how much hard ball Freo play... so if we miss out on him a ruckman could possibly come into play, even though its aslightly unlikely scenario in my opinion.
No. That was a perfectly plausible point from TOA. It's pretty much the way things work.twang!
did I just hear the sound of your long bow being stretched to breaking point?
I can't see Carlton taking another athletic ruckman with pick 6 and 24 if we don't get Warnock. We may not land Warnock yet, depends how much hard ball Freo play... so if we miss out on him a ruckman could possibly come into play, even though its aslightly unlikely scenario in my opinion.
going off of that you would have to say it looks like
1. Watts
2. Natinui
3. Rich
4. Vickery
5. Yarran
and where is the link between essendon and yarran? essendon need a defender or gun midfielder. yarran is neither.
