Positives: wonderful century from Atkinson, ended by rathnayake taking fattys farken caaaaatch.
Magic ball from Potts to clip angelos off bail
Defiant innings from kamindu, England eventually bought his wicket
Batsmen trying to stay in / England not sending in a nightwatchman

Negatives: Sri Lanka have looked substandard with bat and ball
Roots fielding
Lawrence not knowing the rules
Michael Vaughans commentary: hammered away, hammered away, hammered away
Get in the bin Dimuth

Not sure why England are playing 5 bowlers, all the word I hear is that they are preparing for ashes series in Australia but there is no way they can get away with 5 bowlers in Aus. Woakes especially is fine in the UK but proven not to be good enough in Aus so would’ve thought this series is the perfect time to move past him

I seriously don’t rate Atkinson at all but hard to argue with his performances to date

god the kayo streaming quality is atrocious on chrome browser...

i could barely see that root got out then and there's nothing i enjoy more than seeing root get out
It's terrible on my browser too. No issues on my tv.

Another ton for Root to go to 34 test tons.

"How does he make batting look so easy".

Batting against a tired mediocre Sri Lankan bowling attack helps.

Take nothing away from him though, it's still a great achievement.

Find Williamson’s centuries better. Just played 100 tests, for 32 100s.

Root 34 test centuries at 144 matches.

Shows the discrepancy in lack of respect for non- big 3 test countries

Positives:
of course Root getting 2 centuries in the match
Can't wait to see Kamindu bat again, the man is magic

Negatives:
England can't be bothered to bat a third innings when they have a big lead, by and large. It smacks of a naive approach to playing cricket - you can afford to stay in and protect your wicket. Pope, Brook, Woakes, Atkinson and Root gave their wickets away. How can you turn the screw and demoralise an oponent when they get to bowl you out twice.
Sri Lanka have more than 4 players who can bowl so why is Dhananjaya not changing things up at times?
Pistol with another bad lbw call, he is out of form, he's umpiring like Joel Wilson.
He's umpiring like Richmond play

IM completely lost on your point here

With all respect, Root has been able to do it over 144 tests. You're underestimating long term consistency. What was Williamsons issue with only making 100 tests?

Williamson only made 36.95 vs Australia, 36.85 vs England, and 37.86 vs India.
