Smorgo has said publically since about 2009 he would continue until the end of his contract then hand over to someone else on the board if no-one else was interested in the role, but happy to go sooner if they were.

How much did we get from sponsors in 2011, and how much did you get from sponsors.

Put up or shut up Jacko, sick of your bullshit.

Whats your strategy for 2013 gwiffy??
I mean its gonna be a real long season for you next year in 2013 !! How will you fend off all of the complete schizen performances that you know your side will dish up in 2013.
Will you continue to beat the 5th layer of hide on that nth melbourne are schit drum?? Or will you try a new instrument that reflects StKilda or Melbourne next year?? Looking forward to reading the ramblings of a nut job next year.;)

No, that was just an additional enhancement.

I distinctly remember him saying that references to a shinboner spirit were unhelpful, as they implied you were always the underdog and having to comeback from behind, as opposed to leading from the front.

He didn't like the misinterpretation side of it which many of us took issue long before Scott. He wanted to shake that 'side' of it off with a enhanced a high performance culture. The shinboner spirit is and will always be alive, its just the context that its seen in.

Gwiffy, theres been some tweaking from Scott with his wording in speeches when conducting himself in front of the media.
Most recent in reference to young kids drafted to Nth Melbourne where he says that before:- kids werent that excited in being part of the NMFC but now its different.

But back to the real issue....and back to your OP. Youre still a knob until you hop down off your soapbox regarding us non exsisting.

Thats almost 3yrs old!!
He's given a few media statements since then, I don't need to dignify my earlier statement and sift through and search for small bits where he's shown he has embraced the spirit. Your the one who's obsessed.

It's not my thread.

Bit touchy Griffy, is Jacko riling you a bit.......

You used to be able to have a frank discussion with Jacko, now he's as floggish as anyone. It's disappointing and frustrating at times.

OK dimwit, let me explain it in simple terms for you.

PRE-VFA:
During it's inception North Melbourne merged with Albert Park to become North Melbourne cum Albert Park in 1876.

VFA:
In 1887 during the initial period of the VFA they amalgamated with Hotham cricket club and were known as the Hotham Football Club.
In 1907 North amalgamated with West Melbourne to try and gain promotion to the VFL, which failed.

VFL / AFL:
In 1925 North Melbourne entered the VFL competition as the North Melbourne Football Club.
From 1925 to 1999 , we have been known as the North Melbourne Football Club, and between 1999 and 2007 the Kangaroos Football Club.

This is the only period that is relevant to this discussion.

So here endeth the lesson.

I hope you learnt something champ.

I'm glad you went over to Wikipedia and confirmed the multiple name changes for yourself. Soooo, provided you only acknowledge name changes post 1925 and ignore temporary name changes between 1999 and 2007 in aborted attempt to market yourself outside of Melbourne and provided you only pay attention to changes in home venue that cross state borders (and ignoring whoring yourself out to Gold Coast, Tassie and NSW periodically) then you can class South Melbourne as dead without having to change your opinion on North Melbourne. Sounds perfectly logical. :thumbsu:

Haha, no, everyone knows that North Melbourne is still very much alive and it shits you to tears, because South Melbourne is dead as the dodo.

Your tears are yummy, by the way :thumbsu:

The champagne flowing from the 2012 cup tasted better I'm sure.

We'll celebrate our 2nd flag early in the century, you celebrate...being here? Lol.
