Just listened to the podcast, obviously enthusiasm levels are a bit low, but there is a way to fire things up.

A live commentary of the game by the three of you.
I can't think of a better way to drown out the crickets than Rick, Macca and Portia providing kick by kick coverage of the game.

Who wants to listen to Rucciotto, Dermie, or any other peanut doing the official coverage when we can get a fully biased and insightful analysis from those who bleed Port.

Do it for the fans, do it for the club, hell do it for the country.

This is your time to fill the void left by we the punters.

We've wanted to for years. The last time we checked the lag it was around 10 seconds which would make it unlistenable when linked with live tv, but we'll test it again and see if its suitable

I would be happy to help you test doing it via a "Discord" server rather than via Spreaker if that removes the lag.

As the host it would simply be a matter of:
- Installing the Discord app on your phone or PC - You need to do this bit
- Creating a new Discord server - I've done this for you
- Sending out a join server message via this forum - done - https://discord.gg/TtEpg5 - "PAFC Bigfooty gameday server"
- You guys just need to join the server and I'll give you admin rights.

Then for us punters:
- Download the Discord app on our phones or PC's
- Join the Discord server, i.e. https://discord.gg/TtEpg5
- After you join the server, edit your nickname so its the same as your BigFooty name
- Listen

This will run in realtime, so if you are making comments while watching it on TV then listeners will hear those comments immediately.

Again, I'm happy to help set this up and test.
I use it regularly to chat to people in realtime while playing videogames

The obvious downside is that there is no historic record of it like there would be with Spreaker, but I don't think there needs to be, its all about creating atmosphere during the moment and connecting people to help remove isolation.
