Yes the angles can be very deceptive, it wasn’t conclusive to say whether the ball was entirely out of play. Play on. The more egregious decisions I felt was the impeding/foul on Gabriel and the lack of censure on Bruno in the first half.

Didn't think it was a foul on Gabriel, and should have been a yellow for Guimares (VAR can't rule on that).
Apparently Havertz could have been sent off in the first half too.
The ball being out or not, you'd hope technology helped in the decision making. One of the few innovations PGMOL have got right.

Another day, another poor ref performance in an Arsenal match costing us goals or points.
Not sure how Bruno isn't a straight red for the hit on Jorginho or how the goal isn't chalked off for a foul on Gabriel/clear offside but I guess we can look forward to another apology from PGMOL.

Watching Dermott Gallagher tie himself in knots trying to justify the decision, saying some refs think that’s a foul and others don’t. But if there is a debatable decision, why doesn’t var at least refer it to the on field referee? Why is the var official take responsibility for the decision?
If that was a defender on an attacker it is a penalty 100 times out of 100.
