Agree he was average. The play was brilliant though, but his kicking is poor. He did run hard all game but was outplayed by Dixon.

Other than his long recovery from his knee there are a couple of opponents now who are both as fast and as agile as emac but taller and stronger. For mine dixon is kryptonite to emac. Just has him covered in all areas.

Dixon is one of those guys that if he is on, any player would find him hard to stop. He is 200cm, solid and fairly quick. He destroyed Barrass earlier in the year too.

Even with the dodgy goalkicking dixon was bog. He was the only reason port were even in it to attempt the comeback. If not for dixon port would have been 10 goals down halfway through the second.

It was not close to deliberate at all. He hit that at full pace, he was lucky to get as far as the boundary post with the speed he was carrying to change direction, it was legitimately perfect in every way, he had to run that way because he couldn't cross the line, but his pace gave him no option to actually get inside the line so he just smashed into the post.

The ball hit the post and it was a throw in from there, umpire was wrong to have not paid it already when it finally went over the line.

Absolute commitment and the only option.

You don't stop Dixon when he is on like that and getting the delivery he was. Awesome 1 percenter and I thought he battled hard all night despite being well beaten.

Absolutely shocking all night, but that play right there saved the game for us without a doubt.

Wether it hit the post or not is a moot point, because the ump didn't call it out then, it was called out when McKenzie picked it up. He picked it up when he realised it was still in play, to get it out of play.

He didn't just pull it straight out of play as that may have been called, he kept it close to the line so it looked accidental.

It was clearly deliberate but done in a way that was impossible to call.

It's what makes what he did so great. There were so many ways for that to go wrong, and for port to get a point or a free.
